Basically you train your body to use ketones as a source of fuel instead of carbohydrates. The diet was invented a looooong time ago to treat epilepsy in kids. It worked extremely well. Ketones are a stable fuel source for your body that decreases crazy insulin spikes in your body, and it’s overall a great diet for people that are carb intolerantI don't know what keto is exactly. I just eat a lot of non-starch veggies and meat and fish and olive oil.
