Did yall hear the good news?

Wes Rucker got fired. No longer covering Tennessee sports.

Thank you 9lb 8oz baby Jesus.

Sorry been a busy day, not sure if someone already mentioned it but do we know for sure he actually got fired? If so, why? He’s been on the beat for so long. What could he possibly have done now to get fired?

What if all 3 QB's play significant time this year and they all inexplicably miss wide open receivers down the field?

What will you do?
Chalk it up. I don't really care if our QB's are less than great. I'm still happy we have a coach that launched Nico into orbit when he tried to hold us hostage. . . however. . .

I have never seen Heupel have a "bad" QB. Even his worst guys were ok. I also don't think it will be hard to replicate Nico's season and that was enough for the playoffs. I think a bad season from QB's will still have us in the top25.

Haven’t kept up with recruiting much due to outside reasons, but are the secondary guys we’ve got committed late bloomers?

I’ll admit, just on paper it looks…meh, but again, haven’t kept up or watched any of their film.

Please be unbiased lol, it’s not informative when someone says “well so and so was a low 2 or 3 star”

Randomly seeing early Hype games on youtube, what an effing turnaround.

LSU, Bama, UF, Clemson, A&M, OU revenge, the list goes on and on.

For context: 2016 was our best year in a very long time and we finished just +8 PPG. 3 of the next 4 years we had a NEGATIVE scoring margin.

Since Heupel:
2021: +10 PPG
2022: +23
2023: +12
2024: +20

It's really crazy what he's done here. Looking back these past 4 seasons almost doesn't feel real (if you lived through and remember 2008-2020).

Thank you Coach Heupel!!!

My prediction, if Joey ends up being between number 6-8 ranked SEC QB Tennessee will have a very good year👊🏻
and look at the list of QBs we face this year...3, 5 is Vandy, 8,10,11,12, 13, 15
don't have to be great, but can be as good as or better than most who we face.

all this is predicated on a subjective list, but like I said, I don't see anyone we face as dynamic, other than Lagway, so hence Joey doesn't have to be great.

Seems like the 3* guy we got is underrated by a good bit.

Wonder if UCF still feels how they did when he left? 😂

I understand Joey has a lot to prove, but the very bottom of the SEC?

Top is sort of suspect to me as well. A lot of unproven. Nuss looked like dog crap in the game I watched him in. If Arch is even mediocre they will push him hard. Sellers and Lagway are the two I feel like will be the best. Jmho
