My best friend from childhood went to see the Pretenders with some friends in Richmond our freshman year of college. I'm ok with the Pretenders but not a huge fan so stupidly decided to not go. Someone provided the group with some good acid (not suggesting it was me ) and then they obtained a bunch of coke and went to the concert. We both played guitar and were huge fans of Hendrix. They had some band backing them up but first brought out a third band which was unannounced. He said the lights were shining from the back of the stage and this dude had a hat on so he couldn't see him. And he comes out and proceeds to just shred Voodoo Childe and he decided that he was hallucinating seeing Hendrix on stage. After the song he introduces himself as Stevie Ray Vaughn. This was around 1983 and neither of us had even heard of him at the time. One of the biggest regrets of my life not going to that concert.
I did see him a few years later with another friend and we screamed for him to play Voodoo Childe the entire night but unfortunately he did not. It was still a phenomenal concert.

That Hendrix concert is set in front of the ocean in Maui for Rainbow Bridge with like a couple of hundred hippies watching and horses running by. Can you imagine getting to "experience" that?

Red Lobster's seafood boil is $55 and looks about like $15 worth of food.

Wrapping up our time here in Eleuthera. Awesome place. Best so far. Anyone interested I'll be glad to share the details. It's really not that expensive. Less than we've paid for houses in Florida. Of course you have the plane tickets and rental car. Rental cars are something to behold here on the out islands. Food is very expensive too. This meal was $60 but worth it once a year.

We found a sizable Lobster in the reefs in front of the house. They are out of season right now.

We've been pestered by some lemon sharks the last several days.
