Yes, and I would rank a cream-based fresh oyster stew as second. I do love clam chowder, though, especially with pieces of cod added. The NE white is better than the red imo.Gumbo
I don't like my roux blackened extremely dark as my first choice. But I can flat eat it that way, too. If we consider a great ceviche rank-able in the same list, I would push it up near the top.
