Recruiting Football Talk VIII

Larry Fitzgerald was a better WR than Terrell Owens, and that's despite having a worse QB situation than T.O. Owens dropped a ton of passes.

“Owens not only led the NFL in drops once, he finished in the top four in drops seven other seasons during his 15-year career,” Borges writes.

I watched both in their prime and this isn't even up for debate. T.O. is in conversation with Randy as the best WR of the millennium. Fitzgerald is not even be in my top 5 of the last 25 years. I think a guy like Andre Johnson (who people rarely talk about nowadays) was better.

I think Fitzgerald benefitted from being on a bad team nobody paid attention to most years racking up stats. Outside of one legendary playoff run his career is largely unmemorable.

We have some of the worst luck at terrible times it seems. I’m not going to say anything about Bargo. I truly believe it’s just a bad time of the evening and he lost the ball off the bat.
