Recruiting Football Talk VII

Another spatchcock Cajun turkey coming up! I use the Tony Chachere’s injectable butter marinade and a nice Cajun dry rub. Smoke on 275 for a few hours and it comes out👌🏻
This is how I do mine on my egg. It's really good. I'm gonna smoke 2 this year, one for my wife's family, the other for me. I never have leftovers, they kill it. This year I will.

As some of you know, I only post the picture of my dad and I in my avi picture when I’m worried about him. @InVOLuntary gave me the idea when he did the same for his mom. 😘 to you InVol. My dad is in a local nursing home for rehab for two fractured hips. The only rehab that my family has seen since he’s been there, is bed sores. My family has decided to ‘break’ him out Tomorrow or Wednesday to come home, all depends on my work schedule. My mom and I have extensive knowledge on how to take care of him. Prevention of bed sores is not that hard. Doc, when you read this, you know what this means. You have to rotate movement. Anyway, we’re doing a jail break before Thanksgiving.

Suicide pact if we lose our bowl game

EDIT: setting the record straight

This was suppose to be quoting @MarcoVol sarcastic post about how bad it is that we went 8-4. Don’t know what happened there.

And I probably should have used blue font anyways.

It's never been proven they had our signs. It's been conjecture.
They had them with matching wristbands. We did go so fast at times it didn't help them on D but on O, they knew where the blitzes came from. It helped a lot and our coaches suspected it as well. You are just wanting to continue to beat a horse that you can't get away from now.

People keep talking about scheme in the secondary, but go back to year 1 under Heupel. We played much more man coverage. Alontae was lock down. Theo was solid, but the rest of our DBs got cooked like Thanksgiving turkey in a deep fryer. Warren Burrell played with great technique that year and gave up chunk plays one after the next. It isn't the coaching or scheme in the secondary as much as it is lack of ability. If you think these guys look bad giving up 3rd and 8+ in zone coverage, imagine getting hit deep 4-5 times a game by everybody. That's what we're working with right now. Especially after key injuries. We need more talent to be developed, to know if WM can coach them up or not. He helped Alontae. He helped Hadden, and Theo Jackson went from a little recognized back up to SEC terror in this scheme.
That first year, Burrell was toast a couple of times; but, more times than not, he was right there, good coverage, and just couldn't make the play...or, he was called for PI. As you said, big, great technique, just not a dude that put it ALL together, and came up with plays. That's what separates where we are, and where we want to be. Playmakers. As much as Hadden improved, and played good, still didn't see him as PLAYMAKER. You know. We don't have one back there at the moment...hoping there's a couple in these young guys, and the guys we're bringing in. HAVE TO HAVE!!! more speed and athletism.

Imo, McCollough's interception against Missouri summed up our secondary. It was tipped right to him, his momentum was carrying him up-field, and I think I could have caught him. A playmaker scores right there.

I mean...it's Vandy at home.

If you can't roll out 5 OL from this list then wtf have they been doing on scholarship?

Crawford - Sr.
Mincey - RS Jr.
Mays - Sr.
Davis - RS Sr.
Campbell - RS Sr.
Lampley - RS Sr.
Lane - RS Sr.

Not to mention the younger guys, Johnson (SO), Sham (FR), Grant (RS-FR), Reddick (RS-FR), Bussell (FR), Clipper (RS-FR), Nichols (RS-FR), Lang (FR)
All those younger guys need to get playing time

Not really. I pray he's not as bad a DC to be embarrassed time and time again. You are just continuing to make excuses for an indefensible defense. He's way over his head and needs to be calling defenses at the D2 level. What about Mizzou? Better players? Recruiting rankings don't prove it. He got schooled like he usually does. The vols ran 3 plays in the 1st qtr.
