Recruiting Celebration Notes

That's all of it. I missed a little bit of it, due to the wife calling.

But I will say, I think Bajakian, Graham, Stripling, and Thigpen are going to be the jewels of this coaching staff. Great pickups.

I love the way these guys just glow about the University of Tennessee.

It's going to get better boys. There's just no other option for this staff and for this team.

#GBO!

Now let's get ready for Spring Practice, and lets start hoping for a great 2014 class, and some awesome wins this fall!

this goes a long way...

It is amazing that Coach Jones looks so healthy after running himself so hard for a solid month. I never believed it when Kiffin and Dooley talked about getting the Tennessee recruits. But I got a feeling that Jones will really go after them.

Coach Z and Coach Mahoney were both looking at the same house in Knoxville. They were describing it to each other, not knowing that it was the same house. They figured it out that it was the same house. So then the coaches wives started trying to bargain about who would put the first offer in on the house. Flippin coins and stuff.

Little did they know, Thig had already bought the house.

Thig gon Thig.

Is this true? If so, shows a staff that thinks a lot alike, which could be good.

Did anyone else catch that he's goin to have the team do sprints at the end of every quarter to show the other team that we are the better conditioned team?!?! That will win ALOT of games.

I'm guessing this is sarcasm?

I think it's just a mental thing. Coach Jones wants us to show ourselves and the other team, that at the end of the quarter, we ain't taking breaks, we ain't tired, we ain't worn down. We're still here, and we're still ready.

I think he understands that there has to be a swag and a mental edge to football. I think it's a cool thing.

Personally, if I was a coach, and I COULD do this, I would. I would also (i know this is impossible) tell my players not to celebrate. To me, when a guy completes a huge play, immediately walks the ball back to the referee, and trots back to the sideline, that is the scariest thing ever. It just makes it seem like "This my job. It's what I do. I'm not going to gloat, because that's what I'm supposed to do. I was brought on to make plays, and I made a play. And I'm going to do it again too."

Just saying, I like that mind games stuff.
