Louisville 2-10 he got fired
Duke. 7-5
TCU. 6-6
Oklahoma St. 6-6
Purdue. 6-6
Plenty of you would of liked to had 1 or any of them . All been at their schools a few years or long term.
Nebraska 4-8
UCLA. 3-9
Ark. 2-10
1st year guys , many of your top choice a year ago!
So not better by much , some even worse than Pruit this year.
So what you say ? They all need to be fired?
If not please Explain. This is for all you Pruitt complainers , the rest more sensible members just ignore this thread.

Love this thread already.

But Brohm at 6-6 (and a beatdown of OSU) is far , far more of a compliment than the uneducated folk would realize. This guy took a program that, in FOUR YEARS, WON NINE(9!!) GAMES. Not per season, TOTAL! That is a 4-year average of winning just over 2 GAMES PER SEASON!

He won 7 last year and already 6 this year. He is absolutely crushing one of the worst jobs that was out there just a couple years ago. We would be lucky to have him. If he stays at Purdue he will have them in the Big 10 title game real soon. It would be like seeing Vandy or UK in Atlanta. Unheard of.

What he would do here or any other major program is ridiculous.

He would be the only one on that list that I would say did as good a job this year as CJP did, maybe better but going from 2 wins to 7 is easier than going from 7 to 11 , so don’t put him in the championship yet.

Go ahead and add our beloved Gruden to this list. His first year isn't looking very good either.

I see you conveniently left off Mike Leach...last time I checked, they were in the top 10.
Check again, they just got beat. Left off him, Peterson, Mullen but nobody trying to fire them , they had a good record. Thread is about the meltdown by so many on here, waiting for all the excuses why the others will get a pass and Pruitt should be gone,.
Just wait there a coming.

Yeah sure, and nobody wanted any of the others or John Gruden
Washington st 2011. 4- wins
Washington st 2012. 3 wins ( leach’s first year)
UT 2017 4 wins
UT 2018 5 wins ( Pruit’s 1st year)

I don’t care what anybody else wanted. I stated who I wanted.

And it’s Washington State. The fact he has them 10-2 in simply remarkable .

Pruitt can get it done here but he’s got a lot to learn quickly it looks like

Fwiw they are in the weaker West division. NW just won it going 8-4. They aren't far off. He is merely in season 2, building from ruins. If he stays he could own that division.

Mike leach is a good coach. Not a great coach. With all his amazing coaching skills...some saying he would have had us at 8 wins this year...why didn’t he improve WasU that way his first year rather than winning less than the previous coach. Also, how many conference championships does he have? He’s good at running a big offense and competing in games but has yet to win anything with them and people think he would be instantly successful in the SEC yet can’t win a conference title in the PAC...when they’re at their lowest point in years.

Jeremy Pruitt inherited a broken culture
Like it or not those are fair goals. Coaches put up or shut up by year 2 if they’re the right guy. It’s been proven time and time again.

That was you in another thread , right? By year 2?
Ok leach was 3-9 in year 3 at W St.
yeah it’s W St but it’s the pac 12 too!
Hey I like Leach, but I’m asking , why should they have kept him ? And why should we be worried after a 5 win first year?

My point exactly! The Pruitt doubters come outa the woodwork after a better than last year season , yet they can’t heap enough praise on other teams coaches that had as bad or worse first years or seventh years or anything in between .

Mike Leach had to lay the foundation down at Washington State much like Pruitt needs to here. It will take time, but broken culture or not it shouldn’t take multiple losing seasons at UT to turn it around. Every coach in this lead that has done well shows drastic improvement in year 2. Now we’re not in a situation like Bama or UGA to make a jump to 11+ wins in year 2 obviously, but year 2 there simply cannot be any blowouts and he needs to win at least 8 games for me to feel confident in him.

Wait what? Leach won 3 games in year 3,
And he is a great coach, but Pruit has to win 8 in year 2 for you to feel confident.

Mike Leach and Dan Mullen were my top 2. 9-3, 10-2. Just saying
You honestly think either would have had that kind of success here?
Leach is a slow starter the fan base would hate. (I would absolutely be ok with that hire) and Dan Mullen....well let’s see how next year goes for him

I wanted a proven head coach. That's what we were led to believe we were going to get this time but we ended getting what we've always got. If Pruitt doesn't work out we probably get Randy Sanders next. That's as big as the admin can think.

Brohm has never even sniffed the SEC, 6-6 in a crappy big 10 division wouldn't translate well at all to a schedule like UT had this year. Think about all those teams we smashed under Butch Jones after having disappointing seasons, Iowa Northwestern Nebraska those games weren't even close.

I think Brohm has a legit offense, I think he's a good coach, but I don't believe he would have performed well at UT or in the SEC, especially in his first year. It's a different game and no one that comes in really understands how brutal the schedules are week in and week out until they are in the middle of it.
