:eek:lol:Ok

And i think home field advantage is overrated most of the time. If it mattered so much we would almost never lose at Neyland so it being a road game doesnt make me think we will automatically lose

Nope, but it doesn't make it any easier.

it kinda sucks that we dont have an allstar team put together this year because this would be a good year to make a title run imo with our schedule

i think we might have a chance at Bama since they lost John Parker Wilson.

And you think that's the reason they won't be good? How about loosing an All-American at offensive tackle and the anchor of their O-line. JPW was nothing more than an average player during his college career. Even though, I think he broke some of Joe Namath's records.

In other words................. JPW > Casey Clausen. Although, I'd give the edge to JPW in that situation.

JPW did exactly what Saban wanted him to do. Not get them beat. When you have a running game like theirs, and the defense to boot, your QB does not have to be great. And JPW was not. He figured it out, that he did not have to win games, and make an occasional pitch to Jones when needed. New QB, replacing the two best OLinemen at the same time = "The Third Saturday In October" is a game this year.

We have unproven quarterbacks, an offensive line that did not deserve to wear the SEC logo on their jersey, and a receiving core that has one proven player. Bama will beat us

ummmm...if Kiffin goes 10-2 next season ...I will judge him right there on the spot : miracle worker ...and will write the Pope and formely nominate Lane for Sainthood . It is not that I do not see 10-2 possible ...it is just a sharp contrast to 5-7 .

I agree that 2010 could be a tough year given the schedule .

If we're 10-2 next year, I see no reason we couldn't end up anywhere from 11-2 to 12-2, possibly

Dynasty (which would mean no more than 1-2 losses a year with multiple SEC championships and BCS games/championships for the next ten years. That starts in 2009 and then rolls into 2019.

As I've posted before, Bama's defense in 09 will be sick. All you have to do is look at their roster. Their talent and depth will be at or very near the top in the league, then add in Saban's coaching.

Gotta find a way to score 14 or more to beat them. Probably 20+ in Tuscaloosa. Can't see that happening.

Agree. Lost Rashad Johnson, our QB on D... but outstanding talent and depth return.

Correct re JPW being a game-manager. His job was to not lose the game.

New QB... Yes. I may be wearing crimson glasses, but I don't expect any dropoff in QB. Rather, I expect a significant improvement in that we'll have a QB who can go through his progressions and not simply lock onto Julio. A prime recruiting objective for Saban was to find another WR to compliment Julio. He found two - maybe three.

do you people root against ut when we play uf and bama just to say ur were right on here if we do lose... or does it make you feel better after a loss that you said we were goin to lose anyway. it seems like a p**sy move imo

I was there. One of the most heartbreaking losses I've been at.... Letting them have the ball for the last 7 minutes of the game. God that was depressing.

So was I. That pass that JaMarcus threw was not even intended to Ducet or whoever caught that pass in the back of the endzone
I agree with you both on how horrible the game was... Do yall remember J Russell's fumble on about the fifty that should have given us the ball. What a crappy game! I despise LSU fans because of that game... and jess I was there.
