Receiving Vote(s) in Top 25 Coaches Poll

In all honesty the teams that have beat us either are in the top 25 currently or have been. The only one I’m not sure if they’ve been ranked this year are the cocks. But it’s funny looking back, everyone thought Florida was garbage because they were beat by Kentucky early on. They then went on to beat us and many others, working their way up the top 25. Then WV, GA, Bama are all top 10.

I by no means am saying UT is ready to challenge Bama for the NC, or that UT isn’t getting their due recognition. But at the end of the day they haven’t performed terribly overall this season esp giving the circumstances.

Edit: Gamecocks were ranked week 2.

My guess is that one of these four fellas threw a vote our way:

-- Coach Cut (VFL, even under the Blue....plus, Duke and Tennessee combined to pee in KY's cheerios this week)
-- Mike Gundy (hey, we got him a raise. again.)
-- Clay Helton (toss a bone to little bro's team)
-- Gus Malzahn (tip of the hat to a team that beat you)

Assuming a best case scenario with Missouri, Vandy, and whoever a potential bowl game is against, even at 8-5 there's no guarantee that the team would be in the Top 25 anytime through the end of the season. At this point, I'm more looking to get a winning record for a change in general. We aren't even going to have a decent bowl if anything, not even Citrus or Outback. I'm looking at a bowl basically just to have a shot at a 7th or possibly even 8th win.
