Rece Davis interviews Coach Phil

Actually back in the day with the whole Majors thing it’s a common dialog that splits the UT family. My father was solidly on Majors side. I actually believe theres some truth really to it also.

But I also believe Fulmer is a Tennessee Man to his core. Both narratives can exist. Every family has its skeleton closet

I am of the belief that Fulmer approached Dickey while Majors was recovering. I believe he said something of this nature. Doug the team said they would either quit the team or transfer.if Majors returned. Of course Majors returned and we lost to Arkansas and South Carolina. This is what sealed Majors fate
Fulmer probably lied to Dickey and caused trouble BUT Majors was coach when we lost to Arkansas and South Carolina. So Majors got himself fired

Id trust Philip Fulmer as far as I could throw him.

What was he going to say, "yeah, I hit that MFer with a good ole Franklin County sideswipe and he never saw it coming"?

Every time he is mentioned on ESPCN they call him:

"The Vile Criminal Fulmer who Undermined Poor Currie and maybe tried to Murder Him, and may have colluded with Nazis during WWII!!"
:banghead2:

ESPN BASTARDS!!! :neener2:

.

No one on ESPN wants the Orange Train trucking their teams again they hate Fulmer .

Everything that happened screams of a power play by Phil.

Phil loves Tennessee, but he has really struggled seeing it operate in any way that isn't his way. That's part of the reason why he got fired.

You mean completely chaotic with no real direction, yeah I'm feeling the same way. Get it done CPF!

You all should have heard that jack wipe Andrew Fillipponi on CBS Sports Radio earlier today. I swear you'd think Fulmer had personally done something to this guy. It's like he has a vendetta against him.

We will never know the truth

Depends on two things. If it is discovered state and/or federal laws were violated in the events of this week AND

how motivated any agency is in pushing for prosecution. With the investigations into the white house and a few inquiries into some local politicians, it may not be pushed forward for the next two years.

But if the Haslams push, it might get ugly. Before the FBI arrested those basketball coaches, I would have never expected law enforcement of any kind to make those kinds of arrests. But that genie is out of the bottle now. If they were going to seize control, they should have come up with a more subtle plan, Way too obvious, And no, of course I don't believe Fulmer.

I was working in Knoxville in 85-86 and had a gentleman give me a few stories about Johnny.
This was before all the happenings in 92-93
I won’t repeat cause it was hearsay and I didn’t see with my own eyes
I was also told about Reggie Cobb being a great running back and to watch for him the season that he started as a redshirt freshman
Now some things I heard have already been posted by others on this board

Oooohhhhh Kaaaayyyy.

I admit to being choked up yesterday. It was just great to hear something that we wanted to hear finally from someone we know. However, Fulmer has always said those type things and turned around and proceeded down paths that he wanted. The only thing that we know is that he has a short term contract. The hope I have is that he wants to be AD longer than the term of his contract and knows that he has to get us back on track with this hire to keep that job. I pray the ego doesn't rear it's ugly head and that he learned from his previous experience.

Ok so now it’s coming out that Miles and Fulmer talked a couple of weeks ago. Some in the media are already sniffing it and using the sabotage argument.

I hope Fulmer gets out in front of this and Les is one of the two he “reached out to at Curries request”.

Dear lord please let it be so.
