I've been thinking about this all day. I have heard a lot of people saying they will not be attending the bama game because A. they don't support Dooley or B. they do not believe we will win. I think this is absolutely absurd. If you make your decision based on whether you think we will win then you are not a true fan. First off, that's even more reason to go. That's when our team needs us there the most. You go to a game for the love of the game. For the love of Tennessee football. For the atmosphere. You go to enjoy the tailgating and to spend time with family and friends. It's more of a lifestyle. And most importantly you go to cheer on your team and maybe even come out with a win because on any given Saturday, any team can win. Especially in the SEC. I would give anything to even be able to have the choice to go to most games. Unfortunately I can only make it to one per year if i'm lucky. Be greatful for the opportunity to witness one of the biggest upsets in a long time. GO VOLS!!!!!:dance2:

I really hope VN shows up and supports the team. We also need to be there for the 97 team and give them the standing ovation they deserve!

I go expecting to see a football team that resembles the money we spend on it. Right now, those two aren't close, so I don't go.

I understand the money issue, but you can always scalp tickets for cheap, especially when your team isn't winning. Also Peyton will be on campus friday. He will be there for the dedication of the new Peyton Manning Pass. So I bet he'll stay for gameday.

Totally agree. There are only so many games you can go to in a lifetime. And The Third Saturday In October only comes once a year. If nothing else, at least there will be a lot of eye candy:)

The only reason I won't be attending this game is because we had a baby last week. That alone is not the reason I won't be attending. The only reason I won't be attending is because I can't find someone to help my wife with the new baby and the toddler. Family is the only thing (well, GOD, of course) that comes before UT football.

Good decision. An 8 week old baby won't be there either.

By not going you're not just hurting the school but mostly you're hurting the players.

Have you ever thought you really liked someone and got along with them really well, until you actually spent some time around them and got to know them and then you realized you really don't like them all that much? That's how I'm feeling after spending a lot of time around here this season. I have been a Vol fan for a long long time but have never experienced the type of negativity, animosity and just plain idiocy from fellow fans as I have recently. It's embarrassing and TBH pisses me off. Maybe it's just me and a few others, but I've always been a fan and have loved and supported my team in victory and defeat. I can't even imagine making a decision about going to a game or buying a new hat or whatever based on if they are winning or losing. I don't accept mediocrity and are just as disappointed as many of you are, but middle of the season is not the time to start demanding coaching changes and mean-mouthing our team, even making fun of fellow fans. I don't understand you, but I guess like a wise man once told me "be glad that you don't understand them because that would mean you are just like them".

I'll just say," don't let this site get you down." There is a very vocal minority here. There is nothing like going to Neyland. There is a positive vibe no matter the circumstances. This goes from tailgate to game time. Most UT fans I come across do not share the negative feelings that some on here do. I'll admit this place has drug me down too. I'll even admit that being around here has made me question if I even want to be associated with UT and its fans. That being said, some bad apples should not spoil the bunch. There is so much about UT that is great and worth supporting. It goes far further than wins and losses and who the coach de jour is. Go Vols! God Bless UT.

We are leaving for Knoxveags tomorrow. Calhouns Friday night and per-game on the strip and the old frat.

It maybe somber after 7:00 but it's good to be back!

Oh by the way the last time I saw the crimson turds live, they lost to the game chickens in Columbia.

Def don't let this site wear u down.its somewhat informative and def entertaining. Take allvol for instance. Long way from being all vol. If u will start putting people on ur ignore list, after about 100 people, this site perks up quite a bit

I will be at the game to support the team, coaches, and Phil with the 97 SEC champs! I'm a Vols fan every day of my life.

By not going, I am hurting neither.

You've posted 3 times or so in this thread and every post is about you. "I this" "I won't", yeah you're a great fan because you feel that this team owes you, you personally, something. Like these kids haven't been working their asses off since January. Do you think they want to lose? You don't have to like the coaches, but don't sell the kids short. If you don't have the capability or means to go to games it's one thing, but not to go, out of pure spite and support the 18 to 22 year old kids that put it out there is ridiculous just to prove your point. It just proves that you are the narsissistic prick that you come across as on this website.
