4. Tressel- the longer the search goes on the more his name will come up.
5. Mora- great coach, looking for a big time job..

Bingo. He could technically coach, but it could bring penalties to his new school. I'm not sure a coach has ever been hired while under a show cause.

Dont understand the Petrino love. He does not play defense and like most explosive offenses they struggle against strong defenses. He struggled against Ala and LSU and even if he was still at Ark he would always be 3rd at best in the West. We need a defensive minded Coach with a productive Offense. Petrino will never be able to recruit anywhere close to the level he used too. Its already come out the people who work with him hate him and isnt trustworthy. We already have that now. How many Mom's and parents are going to let him sit in their house and believe anything he says and want your child to go play for him. I just dont understand some fans take on this. Nothing good could come from hiring him and there is just too many other options out there. I will go

If I am not mistaken his show cause was not the same as Pearls. He got off much lighter than Pearl.

Thanks! I think what I remembered was that Pearl could not recruit during his show cause but Tressel could. Either way he should mother considered with hos history.

Tressel is a proven loser against the top of the SEC with a team absolutely loaded with talent. I have zero confidence in him getting us over the hump.

Steve Mariucci wants to get back into coaching. Spent one year at Cal befor ethe 49ers. Said to have been interested in the Hogs opening.

Greg Roman (49ers OC) said to be interested, per another thread. Spent time at Stanford, but primarily an NFL guy.
