Today we salute you, Mr. Upper Deck Neyland Stadium Boo-Bird

You show up to the game painted orange, cooler full of Milwaukee’s Best, ready to do battle.

:whistling:HELL YEAH ROCKY TOP!!!!!!

And even though all the experts predict a loss, you know they’re wrong.

:whistling:WE’RE GONNA CRUSH YOU!!!!!!

But when the game turns south, you turn on your team.

:whistling:YOU GUYS SUCK!!!!!!!

And even though both your kids are in prison, you yell at the coach for the lack of discipline.

Here's to you, Mr. Kool-Aid drinker Vol fan...

...you don't let raw statistics get in the way of your undying, uneducated loyalty to a head coach who is years past his prime.

(Love me some Fulmer)

... you still think your team is "a year away", after eight years of thinking the same thing.

(Next year is our year)

...your teams record against Top 10 opponents is lower than Pedro Martinez' batting average, but you still think your team is a national power.

(Bring on the Gators)

... you believe that, somehow, some way, your dysfunctional coaching staff will find a way to win their division, their conference, and maybe, just maybe, another national championship.

As much as I pay for my tickets, as much as the coaching staff makes, as good of facilites as we have, as good as fans as we have, we are not supposed to be where we are- no BCS bowl since 99, no SEC championship since 98, a losing season in 2005, and on and on and on. Hell yea I am going to boo, I am mad at what our coaching staff has done. What are we supposed to do? Sit there and clap and say hell yea Phil you are great person so even though we suck its all ok I support you. Everything is going to be alright. Thats why he is still up there, because of people that do not voice their displeasure and say everything is alright. I am going to boo, I booed on Saturday and I will again if things dont get better. So heres to you Mr. everything is going to be ok, lets keep Phil up there so long that only 20k go and cheer at the games. Heres to you mr. lets be stuck in mediocrity. Heres to you.

After that game....

I'm embarrassed my tax dollars pay the salary of that coach
I'm embarrassed my tuition pays the salary of that coach
I'm embarrassed my ticket price pays the salary of that coach

I've contributed much to the team...and I still bleed orange

....but somebody has to go. It's not a lack of talent...it's complacency that comes from the top down.....and hell yes i will boo if i see a team that shows me no heart!!

I'm as dissatisfied with the team as anyone else, trust me.

That being said, only rednecks boo. There are rich rednecks and poor rednecks. So don't confuse what i'm saying.

If you boo, you have ZERO class. If you're proud of that, fine -- but you're just a redneck at the end of the day, you're nothing better because you booed and other folks didn't. It doesn't make you anymore "informed" because you booed the team -- it makes you appear to be less informed about the grand scheme of things.
