Real life starts now, I'm a college grad.

I agree with PJ, but followed the advice of the duck unfortunately.

I went the other way too which is why I at least try and point out some flaws in that thinking. One thing I didn't do (that many of my friends did) was go out and grab a new car as soon as I had a job. Much harder and a lot less fun to get out of debt than into it

Agreed. I saved up and bought a house, then used the housing credit to pay off my cc debt. Then ran the bill back up with back surgery and physical therapy.

it would still benefit you to still be frugal with your money. Save it for something worthwhile (like a house) rather than blowing it on short-term wants. Get any debts paid off now and setup and emergency fund in case something happens.

just some stuff I wish I had done right out of school

I didn't live outside my means in college. I made it through with out any debt. I'm going to save money.

I understand and I had no debt when leaving college either. Just wasn't really sure on the saving money part since you also said

Hell after not buying anything the last 5 years, I'm already thinking of stuff to buy with my pay checks.

Blowing 75 dollars at bass pro a month is more what I was talking about blowing money. I'm a pretty simple guy. I also got lucky with we own property and won't have to waste it on rent. I'll be able to save most my pay check. Thanks for the help it is true. I don't see why people in college took out loans just so they could party. I had friends that would run up 100 dollar tabs like it was nothing.

Same here. I only had to study for like two classes. I could have done better but I still had a 3.4 gpa.

here's another post-college tip: GPA's don't mean as much as you think in the real world :p

If you are above a 3 you are fine. They didn't even ask me about mine in my interview.

actually as long as you graduated (unless in a specialized field) they don't matter. After your foot is in the door they really don't matter
