RE Stephens: He started four...

these are two of the worst 5 qb's we've had in the last 30 yrs...hard to argue otherwise, really...tough to win with a terrible qb

games last year--including georgia and bama. Had good stats and this many turnovers in all four games: ZERO. Meanwhile, Crompton commits turnovers, makes other mistakes, has no leadership skills, is terrible. And yet Kiffin wants to play crompton. I'm sorry, but his makes no sense...unless Stephens' wrist injury is really bothering him. He was a better qb than crompton last year.

what this stat doesn't show, though, are the numerous balls stephens threw that were dropped by defenders. he had more than several passes last year that should have been picked off.

i'm seriously tired of saying this kind of stuff about stephens. i've been beating a dead horse about him forever, but he got lucky on alot of the passes he threw last year.

if crompton stinks up the place like he did against the bruins for the next 2 weeks or so, i'm all in favor of putting nick in. but until then, i'm going to be hoping crompton can miraculously turn it around and hold on to the starting job.

This.

I've never been a proponent for Nick Stephens, and that still rings true. He isn't the starter because he isn't the best QB on our roster.
