I can't imagine us taking any more than 3 RBs this year, assuming the last one committs do we feel comfortable enough to start turning some away?

You lower your list to the elite... Rock, Chubb, or whoever the staff thinks is deserving.

If that means you have to drop a guy like Rollins then so be it... its a business.

As it stands now, RB and Safety are two positions where UT can be very selective going forward.

Scroll to the bottom and you will see what the goal is for the staff

The listed goal (according to Evan Woodberry) is to have 6 RBs.

We should have 4 scholarship RBs returning next year (Lane, Smith (?), Hill & Lee). Add Hurd & Paulk, and there's your 6. I suspect we'll end up getting one more but we won't -- and shouldn't -- sign 5, at least not w/ the intention that they'll all play RB.

We need to start getting on DT's we 7 of them and 3 of those need to be Juco DTs that can have an immediate impact hopefully.

If the goal is to have (6), and Hurd and Paulk makes (6), then IMO you try to land Autry, or Truitt as a specialist and call it a day.

So if the article says 2 for 14' then I take it that we are done? What do we do if Palmer wants to commit? or Chubb?

My bad guys. What I get for trying to take care of 2 kids and help the wife with evening chores along with trying to keep up on here. Little incomprehension on my part. :)

You take him, mixon, chubb or fournette (spelling?) no matter how many rbs u end up with if those caliber of backs want to come here u make room

I dont think we have a chance with either Fortunette or Mixon. Chubb and Rock are a possibility and if they want you definitely make room for them. I just don't see them wanting to to split carries with potentially two other backs in the same class with similar talent level though.

Thats what I was thinking also. Thought I read in Paulk thread that he was told we were just talking two but I agree if one of these other good RB's wants to commit how could you not make room?

I agree that you take another big time back if he wants to commit, but we desperately need some ol, dl, and lb. We could be in trouble if we don't fill those needs. I have faith in CBJ and staff though. They've definitely proved that they can recruit like crazy. Not to mention how hard the current recruits have been selling the orange power T.

Agree.

IMO ol,dl, and lb needs to make up half of the 14 class.
