So I have noticed that we are mentioned with some big name RB's in this class but dont seem to lead for any of them. What are our chances of landing a big time back and who will it be?

I just heard on the radio that Keyante Green Tweeted that whatever team he ends of playing for, he will always be a Vol fan.. He's committed to ucla... Thought that was pretty cool.

Doesn't help us land that big time recruit though...

Not a big follower of recruiting, but just out of curiosity, is this kid not very good?

He's actually stated that he is trying to get in touch with the staff. Apparently he is still high on the Vols. Not sure if there is any interest on our part.

If the team comes out of the gate winning, I like their chances of landing Derrick Green.

If we get him then I truly think he's a Trent Richardson type runner would rather run u over than run around you and he would be the back we have been looking for and he's a four year guy so we need him!!!

Don't expect for us to get a big commit from a rb within the next six months. When the season is rolling to an end, and we have done some damage, some commitments will begin to waver and some coaches will be fired from other programs. Our best chance this year is to pull a Marlin Lane type of swoop near NSD

His momma really liked it here as did he. They said he would be back for his OV in the fall. Hopefully we start out winning and he catches the BO fever!

I like our chances with Derrick Green over Derrick Henry. I think that we have a chance with Alvin Kamara, but that is only because of his relationship with Jason Croom. And I dont know a lot about Jordan Wilkins but he sounds pretty good from what I can see, and he is from Tennessee so that always helps a little bit.

Don't understand the staff's struggles in RB and LB recruiting with the history this school has.

History is just that...history. It means a lot more to fans than it does to most recruits.

Perception is reality in recruiting... Dooley would be ridiculous at recruiting in a winning program...but that just isn't UT right now...

He lacks the sauce that so many talk about... but I'm not knocking Dooley (I hope the man wins and is here a long long time).

Recruits for the last 3 years have been talking about UT being up and coming....thats hard to sell for 3+ years...

This year is the most important year (recruiting wise) in a really long time... WIN and they will come...if not than ................

Frankly it boils down to wins and losses. The highest rated rb's want more exposure than the Music City Bowl. Finish in the top 25 and our chances with an elite rb goes up exponentionally.
