He’s being mentioned a lot in the practice write ups.

What are we thinking? Is he a legit option in the run game or is he this years media darling that VQ and others talk up- only to us never seeing him in the fall?

I believe he'll be RB4. But only because Morris and Tulane transfer will be tough to surpass. Morris is about to be Sampson 2.0. Score a lot of TDs his sophomore year and then explode his JR season. Baker looks like a stud though, who I knew would need a couple seasons due to never really getting a lot of reps at Buford until his sr year. Hopefully coach pays him to sit still and Bishop moves on the NFL after this season. Because he's going to be a fine back as a 20-22 y/o grown man. But hopefully DGG is enrolling and we know he comes to campus as RB1 day 1. So who really knows..

They could’ve done better than the Tulane transfer in the portal. I think coaches like what they have in Baker in Morris. We (fans) are already counting on Morris to be a stud, but he didn’t show much last year at all.

Trust the coaches here, they could’ve got another Star Thomas in the portal if they wanted to spend.

You selling that Tulane transfer short. The kid led a playoff team in rushing as a true freshman. That conference Tulane is in has been very good to P4 schools as far as RB's goes. We got him early as a true sophomore, had he stayed another season his stock would've been even higher.

I hope you’re right and I like that he has extra years of eligibility.

If I’m reading the stats right he was third on the team in overall yardage and even further down the list in yards per carry.

It doesn't matter what anyone on a fan message board is thinking. The coaches will determine if he is a legit option

Has anyone else noticed that the team looks to have gotten bigger in their legs?

We are definitely bigger and stronger this year than last...already. Everywhere except DTackle but thats a personnel issue. The 2025 and 2026 monster classes are growing up and gonna be hard to deal with. I put us at 8-4 this year due to new QB and DC...but we should make the playoffs in 2027 and 2028. We had the youngest roster in the SEC by a mile last season. Brought in 50+ new guys counting the HS class and portal. We will be bigger and stronger everywhere except the middle of the Dline IMO. Our Oline is looking really good right now.

Pointless speculation is what we excel at
Hubbs said on today's VQ podcast to watch out for the transfer RB, he may be a contributor like Star Thomas was last year. Hubbs said he is so fluid in his drills and catching the ball etc that its easy to tell that he is the most experienced back other than Bishop.

If everyone stays healthy...which is a big IF at RB...we may have a log jam vying for the RB2 and RB3 positions between Morris, Baker, the portal guy, and then a couple younger backs.

Remember we always end up playing 4 RBs because of injury. Ever since Heupel has been here.

There's no reason Baker shouldn't be the #2 if his head and heart are willing.

Morris can be used all over. And the Tulane Transfer is very skilled as well.
