From BWI...has offers from the likes of Penn State, West Virginia, North Carolina State, Tennessee, Syracuse and Illinois. Raynard's coach says PSU is one of his top options and also talks about his contact with Maryland and Rutgers.

Brandywine, Md., prospect Raynard Randolph has started out with four scholarship offers from Pittsburgh, Tennessee, Rutgers and Syracuse and recently talked to Scout.com about the schools that have offered and the others who are simply showing him the most interest at this point.
Raynard Randolph, a 6-foot-3, 295-pound two-way lineman from Gwynn Park High School caught up with us to talk about the offers he has received and also fill us in on what other programs have been showing him the most interest as of late.

Tennessee - “From what I have seen Tennessee is a place that has a great game day atmosphere and a huge stadium. Their tradition of winning is absolutely great and I can’t remember them having a losing season since I have been born. I am definitely going to take a visit there as soon as I can.”

Rutgers - “They show me a lot of love and the defensive line coach has come out to see me a few times already. They were my first offer, so that always holds a special value to it and their program is definitely on the way up.”

Syracuse - “My cousin Cornelius Campbell plays for them and I have family in the area, so it would be cool to be close to people I know and get to learn from him, especially if they offer me to play defensive line like he plays.”

Pittsburgh - “My teammate Ronald Hobby is in my ear all the time trying to get me to go up and visit Pitt, so I’m going to go up and visit him when he gets on campus to check things out there.”

“Virginia Tech is another program I am very interested in because I camped there this summer and it was a very peaceful campus,” Randolph explained. “I know a few players that are currently there and it really felt like home in Blacksburg.”

at least it's a DT that has interest in us....that alone is cause for celebration

Let our team take the field this fall and we will have more. I think our D-Line maybe a surprise to most on here and abroad. I just get that from what I have read about what they are doing this off-season.

"He's still about the same, he's undecided right now," said Gwynn Park head coach Danny Hayes. "He wants to do it before the season starts. He's looking at North Carolina State, Tennessee, West Virginia, Maryland and Penn State. Those are the top five that he wants to go to visit."

What happened to all the positive feelings you had? This kid looks like good prospect, size and strength seems to be there. Just how many DT's you see us taking this year?

he's a 3 star that everyone seems to think is a Penn State lock. When I wrote the above comment it was awhile back.

Maybe nobody will tell him about VT's incident last year at their "quiet" campus....I'm probably going to hell for this comment.

I wasn't that impressed by the strength part. Seems a little weak for his size.

"It is confirmed," Gwynn Park High head coach Danny Hayes said, "that he committed to NC State. He got back from his visit and committed.

"Pretty much they had what he wanted, and plus Keith [Willis] was a great guy, a great recruiter and he stuck by Raynard from day one."

Willis is NC State's defensive line coach and was responsible for recruiting Randolph, who is the Pack's 26th verbal commitment.

"Raynard is going to cancel his other visits," Hayes noted. "He just wants to settle down. That's where he is going and he feels good about it."
