Ray Perkins on the CSS QB Club

Ray Perkins just said on the CSS QB club that The Bear always considered the Tennessee game as the most important game on the schedule.

I think that's pretty well in line with things the Bear had said.

Everyone knows there's more fan interest in the state with UA/AU, but that's just a matter of mathmatics since both teams reside in the state.

As far as what has been most important to Bama, it has been beating Tennessee, and vice versa.

Since the 2 schools have split more SEC crowns than any other schools, it just makes sense that the two best teams in the conference would mean more to each other's success than anyone else.

Bear really loved this game.

Perkins is showing his age though. He refered to it as the 2nd week in October afair.

Sacks against UAB and UF. Pattern appears to be his sacks have come against the pocket passer type (Hackney, Leak) and not against scramblers (Russell, Spurlock and Shockley). Which does Brodie resemble most :biggrin2:

My prediction (objective as I can be) will be 1 maybe 2 sacks for JM against Bama and 3 - 5 hurries/knockdowns. Add at least one stop of Darby behind the line.

As it is, he will come in the 3rd or 4th series, throw a INT that is returned for a touch down that will ultimately decide the final score.

i know i know, if he gets in there and burns 'em, ill be the biggest ainge supporter there is. I just want them to WIN, don't care how (legally of course) and i don't care who throws the ball. I just think clausen is the better pick for this game.

I think Ainge is a huge mistake in this ballgame, UNLESS... he comes in to represent the deep ball and keeps that nasty D out of the box. I wouldnt let him throw more than 2-3 deep passes.
