Well guys he picked who we all thought he would pick...the evil empire. Did anybody out there really think we had a chance with this guy? Butch Jones just doesn't land these types of recruits...so frustrating. Maybe if he was a WINNER we would have wooed him...oh well the rich get richer totally sickening!

Its also heartbreaking to see our top TN talent heading to Death Valley. Dabo is raping Butch. Its not good. Its actually embarrassing. So here is my advice to Butch...quit losing games you should win and get over the damn hump and maybe things will change!

Still a solid class...but it is hard to watch players like Higgins decommit and go to Clemson...ugh.

I'm actually surprised that Butch pulled the class that he did, considering it is now common knowledge that he is a average at best football coach.

If he steps on his dick again this season he may not have to worry about it anymore....

7th Best Class in the SEC......... oh well, Butch, all that noise you talked about how good of a coach and development of talent you are............2017 is your year to PROVE IT..... no more Barnett to save the defense............no more Dobbs to save your O-line......

Prepare yourself for CBJ opening up every press conference during 2017 with "resilient young team that is still learning how to win"...

Ray wasn't disheartening, for us to even be in that race was fun to watch.

What hurts is only pulling 1 of the top 5 players in your state.

I've been preaching for years that we didn't need clemson being successful. We have a hard enough time being surrounded by strong programs.

Butch had to beat USC and Vandy, but we lost those games. He made his job 100 times more complicated when that happened. He probably won't recover from that nail in his coffin.

But as a program we are 99% better now than we were when Butch took this program over. If Butch survives this year then he will have done the best job coaching than any of his past years coaching. I hope he can pull it off, but starting a new QB with our schedule doesn't bode well for us to win 10 to 11 games.

It'd be nice to see Butch turn it around this year but I'm out of faith in his ability to do anything more than what he's already done. Two depth classes in a row and blowing the best chance we've had to take the East in almost a decade with losses to SC and VU. What more proof do we need? I really want to know from sincere believers in Butch exactly how many more seasons and recruiting classes do you believe this guy needs to at least win the division?

I agree with you and it probably gets overshadowed by the fact that I spend more time posting about the disappointments than the successes these days. Butch moved the program back onto the rails and got it moving in the right direction. I liken him to a tow truck driver. He's taken us from the ditch we were stuck in to the service station and now we need a real mechanic to get the thing fine tuned for the big race.

Found a new profile pic for you. That way you won't even have to type another nonsensical response, and everyone will still understand what you are trying to say.

Why not go back and attribute the start of the Clemson raid to Kiffin? Remember a UT commit named Tajh Boyd - recruited by Fulmer. Remember he didn't fit Kiffin's plan, so Boyd went to Clemson. Now by Boyd's senior season Clemson was doing well (11-2 kind of well) - and QB play by Boyd had a lot to do with that.

Guess you might say that Kiffin handing Boyd to Clemson put Clemson on the upward trajectory that inspired their recruiting - winners attract winners. Kiffin/Dooley put UT on the other trajectory - that's the other part of being careful what you wish for - especially when you put idiots like a guy named Hamilton in charge of granting wishes.

Some thought we had a chance, nobody should have imo. I'm not disheartened because I had no expectation we'd get Ray......100% crystal balls to Bama helped temper things.

I do think we have a handful of good to very good players in this class, just like the last class....just not nearly enough to compete for a chance to play in the SECCG.

Jones has to step it up on game day or this will keep happening. Being 6 or 7 in recruiting in the conference puts us in catch up mode.
