Hey, I wanted to thank the handful of you who made suggestions for the plan I was hatching to go to the game next weekend, but it looks like it's not going to happen for me. When the wife got hold of it, she was kind enough to help me discover why it's not in the budget right now to travel across country for a football game. "But honey..." Anyway, it was fun even just planning it for a while, if you know what I mean. For those of you who will be going, let me say...Have safe travel, and ROOT ON THE BIG ORANGE TO VICTORY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A wife tends to do that spoils all the fun, You need a plan heres the way it goes you suggest going on a Second Honey Moon to the bay area walks across the golden gate wine and shrimp at fishermans warf and so on about that time you slip in the little thing about a game not far away.

Divorce her NOW!:)

Just use it to set optimum game conditions for yourself for the rest of the season...."Honey if I can't go to Cal, I should be able to watch all other games on my terms" No mother in laws, babysitting or other crap during games this year.

Clever, but I couldn't afford to take her along...:)

now you're talkin'...I think it's not unreasonable - with a properly-timed frown or two - that I may parlay this into having the house empty for the game and perhaps some crazy post-game victory sex? - I meant with the wife, of course.

Parlayin.....that is what I am talking about. Put it in your pocket and save it for a rainy day.

Good try. My wife did the same thing. Even with frequent flyer miles thrown in I still got shot down. We'll just watch the beat-down on TV.

GO Vols!

Was watching the drawing of the powerball lottery hoping to be able to pay for everybody interested's way to the game. Bad news is, my numbers didn't come in.. :cray:
