I just want to say how much I appreciate you and all the people in the Pride. My fall Saturday's in Knoxville would not be complete without watching you guys march into the stadium. That, the pre-game show, the Tennessee Waltz after the game, always chokes me up.

My son used to play baritone in the Munford HS band. A lot of people don't appreciate how much time, effort, and sweat goes into a first class marching band.

You guys are the best.

Thanks for the praises.

We were easily 70-30. And I was in the neutral section on the 50 (5 seats away from Tee Martin), and we were louder on every third down on defense than LSU ever got, even on their pick 6. Our band was quieter though. But they kicked ass in the half time show.

Yeah, I saw Tee as I was walking with his girldfreind/wife/sister/whoever in the concourse.

Our fans, overall, are weak and non-vocal. More interested in drinking prune juice, going Whoo!, and starting a wave.

"3 - UT's fans pail in comparison to Bama's or Gators or hell, even Pigs. They just don't yell much. " - LSU Fan

Speaking of the Pride, I'm getting tired of gladiator and LOTR. We need some new misc/non-UT tunes to play. I do like when they play swingtown though. Better than the PA system playing it.

Not trying to get something started here, but I too was in band in HS and college. Our band is not very loud and doesn't play enough to keep the momentum going in the stadium. They were "outplayed" by both the Florida and LSoooooers band. If there is some way to get word of that to the director or drum major it should be done by someone in the know.

you don't know much about LSU's band do you?

They are one of the top bands in the country along with Ohio State and Michigan. They are called the best band that money can buy because they go out all over the country to get players to come be in the band. They give these players full ride scholarships just to come play in the band. The Pride of the Southland is totally a volunteer band that gives out some small scale scholarships. To call LSU's band a looser band is a stupid thing to say.

And if you consider outplaying a band playing more than the other then you are wrong. Yes, florida's band played more than us, but they did not outplay us, and that is a fact.
