Rating the SEC coach staffs

Recruiting - Florida recruits speed, they do it well, and it works. Will FU recruiting continue to thrive with CLK and Gran yanking elite prospects out of FLA behind their back? (*****)

I think you are not giving Vance Bedford proper respect. He has turned our biggest weaknesses of 07 into on of our strengths in 08. Our corners played very well this season and a lot of credit goes to Bedford for that. He also did very well with the secondary when he was at Michigan his first time in the 90's.

Also I have a lot of respect for the awesome staff CLK but if you think they are going to yank so many elite players out of Florida it will hurt UF's recruiting your crazy! Florida is the most talent rich state in America arguably and we will still land enough to have top class year after year. Also note only about half of this years class will come from the state of Florida. The Gators are cherry picking from other states as well on the way to another top 5 class.

Agree with ClamBake as far as Vance Bedford goes.....

You've got Mike Bobo rated over Jim Chaney - that's a laugh. Chaney had outstanding Offenses @ Purdue in fact they led the Big 10 in offense every year Chaney was there as OC. Ga hasn't led the SEC in offense in many years & certainly not during the Bobo era. In fact GA fans have not been overly pleased with Bobo since his appointment as OC.

I'll put UT's defensive coaches right there with Ala/Fla for the time being & better as recruiting improves. Right now IMO they are slightly better than LSU. I see nothing outstanding about GA's defensive staff particularly about their DC and neither do UGA fans. Right now I'll the nod to UT over UGA.

I agree, Houston Nutt should be above Les Miles. FAR ABOVE!!!! Nutt took a team that might have been a .500 team talentwise and finished 9-4 and an upset Cotton Bowl win. Miles took a 10 or 11-win team from a talent standpoint and proceeded to win 8 games and the PEACH bowl. No comparison. Nutt clearly is a better coach than Miles. Hope the LSU people haven't figured this out yet!!

You need to research a little more. Ellis Johnson a 3 star DC? He's one of the best in the nation. Lorenzo Ward a 2 star DB coach? He's regarded as one of the best in the SEC along with Cooper. Ray Rychleski a 2 star ST coach? He went 7 years at maryland without a blocked kick and recently interviewed for the Colts spot. I'd say he's pretty good.

I guess TN isn't # 1 because games haven't been played yet???

Because every one know that TN is the best on paper!!!

 :td: :toast:

A little prediction: After Year 1 of the LANE KIFFIN ERA, Tenn will be considered the best coaching staff!
