05 against LSU after Katrina was epic. They refused to reschedule game when there were no hotel rooms for our team because FEMA had booked them all. And Rick Clausen bit them in the backside after they let him go anywhere because he supposedly couldn't play and wouldn't be a threat.

No. 1 All time

The Miracle at South Bend

Coached by Johnny Majors, Tennessee was playing in Notre Dame Stadium, easily one of the top venues in college football, against one of, if not THE most storied programs of all time.
Tennessee was ranked 13th.
The Irish were a great team, ranked 6th, and in the national championship hunt.

And Tennessee was down 31-7 just before halftime.

I was at that game and it was awesome! but it was after Rita not Katrina. LSU didn't refused to re schedule just really wasn't any other option. Coach fulmer called lsu ad Skip Bertman and told him that they would fly in the day of the game and fly out that night. It was such a epic night!

Why do we have to start at 98 and leave out Notre Dame?

Because everyone at SDS is still going through puberty. They don't have coffee with anyone who was around before 98.

1978 vs Ole Miss. Tennessee was down 17-7 at the half. Dominated Ole Miss after the half to win 41-17.

And as I walked with a large group of students around the north end of the stadium (it was still wooden bleachers), we saw several Ole Miss fans dressed in matching blue blazers, grey slacks, Ole Miss ties, white shirts, and carrying their rebel flags. The oldest gent, who looked like Father Time, was asked if he wanted to sell his flag. At last report, that cloud of vile profanity still lingers somewhere over Newfound Gap.

I don't understand why '98 Florida is on that list. We didn't come back to win that game. We were down 3-0, up 10-3, and up 17-10 before UF tied it at 17-17. Not a comeback.

I don't really consider 2003 Bama a comeback either.

How could this one not be included? With Ricky "rag arm" at the helm? Most improbable comeback IMO

Because most on this site are to young to know about things that far back and they don't give a da-- about anything that is not part of their short life span.

Appears a writer failed to do his homework doesn't it?
