From FLVOL53 On VQ

"I just received a text from a teammate of Randy Shannon's and a former co-worker of mine that told me "B - Randy has been offered the job at UT it will be hard for him to turn it down". He is very close with Randy and is still very connected to the UM program. To confirm what I was told I made a few calls and was told by two individuals that Dooley has offered Shannon the job and the ball is in Shannon's court to make a decision.

It is up to Shannon gents.

These other two individuals are very connected to high school football in S. Florida...ie Nuke 2009."

Lets just hope Shannon accepts.

If that's true then how come Da'Rick hasn't tweeted it yet. They haven't been able to keep him from tweeting anything else.

Sure hope his source is NOT a certain kicker, not to be named.

I actually still think that Palardy's tweet is about the most credible info we have on Shannon. It's easy to believe that there are some connections between the two given geography and recruiting history, etc. And when Palardy 'recanted', his language was significant. Didn't say he was wrong or had bad info. Said 'nothing has been announced yet'...blah, blah, blah. That's not a denial.

UT offered LSU defensive coordinator John Chavis the DC job at over $1 million a year. He declined. Chavis coached at UT from 1989-2008.

Apparently the inside guy is the one who broke the Nukeese to Tennessee story. Very well connected in Florida. Could be how Palardy found out.

They flew in Mike Leach to shove his phone up his ass and lock him in a closet during this coaching search.
