Randy Sanders has accepted the responsibility of Recruiting Coordinator at UK:

Sanders will be in familiar territory as the UK recruiting coordinator. He handled the same duty at Tennessee for six years (1993-98) leading up to the Volunteers’ national championship in ’98. Sanders gave up the recruiting coordinator position in order to become the Vols’ offensive coordinator from 1999-2005.
“I’m happy that Coach Brooks has the confidence to make me recruiting coordinator,” Sanders said. “Recruiting is the lifeblood of a program and I’m excited about assuming that role and taking on the challenge.”

Good for him. He deserves it. I was really hoping Joker would move on and Randy would move on up at UK.

I get the feeling that Joker's being primed for the HC job when Brooks retires in a few years.

All the same, I'm glad to have Sanders for however long he chooses to stay in Lex. Brilliant pickup for the Cats.

Randy Sanders = Fulmer's scapegoat

I think this has merit to it. How funny would it be for Randy to take over as OC at KY and be very successful? I think Randy was extremely lost at times, and the teams practice philosophy was horrible under him, but wish him nothing but the best in future endeavors.

Sanders was NEVER a good OC. He is a great recruiter and a pretty good person from what I know about him. Congrats to Randy and the SECE only get stronger now.
