We were there when it was 22 two nights in a row. Late 80's. We were in Port St Lousy. Killed all the Royal Palms down to about Miami. The limbs started falling off the trees a couple of months later and creaming peoples cars. Almost wiped out the peacock bass too.

Yep, used to be massive grooves to north of Orlando. I don't think they ever replanted most of them.

S. Fl is full of them. Unless it gets cold enough the next couple of days to kill them. Kills a lot of the cichlids in the canals too which isn't a bad thing.
