NCAA 09 and Madden 10 on PS3 were the first football games I bought since the Sega Genesis days back in undergrad. So, three summers ago, I "coached" two seasons at MTSU, three seasons at Ole Miss, and then got the Tennessee job and won the NC in Year One. I exported all six Draft classes.
So, Madden 10 does not have the option offense I won with in college. My bread-and-butter play is to call a bunch of audibles to get the defense to shift until I can plow it up the middle with the FB. I don't care to spend the hours learning to win at modern-day Madden.
So, I decided to just run the front office for my Bears and sim everything.
Year 1: 12-4, tied for 1st in NFC but lost tiebreaker to GB; lost on the road in the second round.
Eric Berry somehow was there for me to take late in the second round!
Year 2: 6-9-1; lost a weak division on the last day; Lovie Smith was fired by the game; I hired Jeff Fisher.
Year 3: started 0-2 and finished 12-3-1; rolled SF in the second round and now host the Falcons in the NFC title game with the Steelers looming in the SB for the winner.
All this has happened since Sunday.
Looking forward to actually watching 1-2 games now. Going to be cool seeing Eric Berry on the same defense as Urlacher.
Go ahead and laugh...I'm terrible at throwing the ball. I'm just happy I managed some enjoyment out of this game.
Looks like the newest version of Madden has my triple option. I think I read that somewhere.
