Hyatt is very special no doubt man! Think people just trying to give our fellow vol his flowers for making the game altering play.I like him, and he made a great catch against Florida, but I honestly don't see him as being that impressive. He's a quality backup and nothing more.
Jalin Hyatt is who we should be impressed with and deserves a thread. Guy is the 38th best receiver in the nation compared to 203rd (Keyton). Guy's playing great and produces great separation - seems to always be open.
I know the sycophants that act like they hold special bonds with these players will come at me for being "mean" or "negative," but I speak the truth.
You're right! According to Pro Football Focus, he has caught 81.8 % of the balls thrown to him, second only to Hiatt, who has caught 82.1!Look...it wasn't just Keyton's big catch. It was his consistency. That one catch on the sideline where he made a move then powered his way for a first was huge for us. The kid looks bigger, faster, stronger, and more dialed in. I am impressed because he doesn't even start for us and is making a huge difference.
It actually was neck and neck going into fall practice over who'd get the 2nd WR position opposite CT. It was between keyton and mccoy. I don't see much difference between the 2 so I can't say why McCoy was given the starting job. I'm glad our receivers are sticking around and setting an example for the under classmen.Look...it wasn't just Keyton's big catch. It was his consistency. If you take a hard look at the stats, Keyton is more productive than McCoy, even with less playing time. McCoy was indeed handed that position. It actually was neck and neck going into fall practice over who'd get the 2nd WR position opposite CT. It was between keyton and mccoy.
