Fulmer and Thornton(huge UT donor and former BOT president I think) are partners in a business venture. The same Thornton that wrote the letter to Hamilton demanding more vocal support for Fulmer. Hamilton immediately replied with the raise/extensions garbage.

The good-ole boy network is in full swing. Something just seems wrong about a head coach and BOT member being business partners.

Heard of this before also anyone thinking jim haslem doesn't still have some influence up on the hill are sadly mistaken.

No way an extension or raise should be given. Hamilton made a mistake in announcing there would be one after last week's game. He should have waited till after the SEC Championship. Had Tennessee won the SEC Championship then I think Fulmer gets a bump in pay and another year on the contract. But NO Trophies in the Trophy Case=No raise or extension. Period.

I just don't know if I can actually watch the bowl game, the whole time I would be thinking about where we could have been and the sad realization of us being mediocre come flooding back....I love the Vols, and that is why I am so dissapointed
