Heck Iād take Oenn State D Coordinator he helped Ohio State win national title last year. Just find an upgrade here. If it werenāt for Garner our defense would make Sal Sunseri look good this year. Banks couldnāt adjust in a game if his job depended on it oh wait it kinda does and yet we still have him. Mind blowingNo, just no. They allowed A&M to score 49 points and rack up 426 yards total offense and you all want their coaches and players
My USCjr friends seem ok with this level of football. They like the fact that Beamer seems to really love being there. We'll see, but I don't think he gets the axe this year. They would be WAY down the list as far as desirable openings at this point, they may wait for a year without so much movement.Beamer has said he has zero interest in that job and wants to stay in Columbia which is a better job. Now I do think he winds up fired at USC but he isnāt a shoe in for Blacksburg

Thats for sure either Ole Miss has to pony up LSU and Florida will have bidding war and Penn State for that matter if Rhule stumbles down the line here the fans may demand at least see if Kiffin has interest.
I have no idea how things are going to work out with these new seemingly psychotic portal rules. I get they want to limit transferring to one time period, and that they have to do it then because the new semesters start during that timeframe and guys have to be enrolled then, but it seems to me it's going to be madness with the ESP in December, then the main portal for most of CFB open Jan 2-16, and then other portals open for guys to leave at different periods 5 days after a new hire is announced. I really think it's going to screw teams making new hires. The issue is LSU and Florida will have to wait until the new year to get an answer from Kiffin. Knowing that only one of them could at best hire him, is either willing to wait that long and risk missing out on other candidates all for the chance and very likelihood that Kiffin decides to stay in Oxford
Portal isnāt the issue. Kiffin will be in the playoff. People are idiots if they think heād be spending time entertaining a job change with playoff preparations going on. Especially when the knock on Ole Miss is that they are too small of a program to contend for anything.I have no idea how things are going to work out with these new seemingly psychotic portal rules. That's explicitly why I am saying the portal will be an issue for anyone looking to hire a new coach. By the time you get a guy to agree to the job, the portal is going to be closed and you'll have a new coach whose roster can transfer anywhere, but all of the main portal action is probably already over. He's going to have to do a great job of keeping guys around and I don't know what they will do if they need to add guys. Most of the best guys will be gone.Portal isnāt the issue. I think several of these schools are in for a rude awakening on the coaching search. It is not that simple.
