Their program today is better than Tennessees program. Hurts like hell to say it but they've boatraced the Vols bad the last two yrs and look to be better than Tennessee next yr.

If you don't see this you're in denial.

Lo how the (once) mighty have fallen. It is true that Vandy has won 4 of the last 6 games , but we still hold a 1 game lead in the conference since 2010 . Vandy's SEC sheet says 18-46 , but we stand at 19-45. YAhoo - TAKE THAT Commodores . This stat would have been laughable to any Vol fan in the 1990s. Teleportation would have been much easier to believe. That is Reality my fellow Vol Fans - a school that plays sports as a hobby vs one that spends as much money as any other in the country and we are no better. This defies logic . Someone explain this to me, please.

0-2 against vandy the past two seasons The past doesn’t mean anything at all.

Vanderbilt allows academic exceptions for admissions if player meets NCAA and SEC minimum requirements. Tennessee still does not. Been that way for 12 years. Look at the overall performance of Tenn's athletic teams over the last 12 years.. Thanks to Jimmy Cheeks for installing this rule.

Well, it would seem Vanderbilt no longer treats their sports programs, like you say, as a "hobby". Granted, they did for years. But it would seem that somebody up there started making some changes to that. They now have one damn good baseball program. Maybe not a cash cow sport, but it's a good start in an area Tennessee has rarely shined.

Tennessee on the other hand, has mismanaged their sports teams for years. And that is all due to short sighted administrators and warring donors who cause just enough turmoil to undermine and bring out the worst in every coach to be hired. When stupidity makes the climb to the top seem coated in slippery gunk, 1 step forward equals 2 steps back. We can only hope the nonsense is over, but I wouldn't bank on it.

Vandy Kentucky and South Carolina are better than us. Oh yeah and Missouri. Pruitt has a lot of work to do. Go Vols!

No we aren’t sadly and Kentucky and South Carolina are currently better as well. Sad times indeed. That’s why I don’t understand some fans obsessed with Georgia and Bama and how soon can Pruitt beat them lol I would just be happy if he can start winning against Vandy, Kentucky and Mizzou first. Those teams we should beat on a yearly basis.

Well said. Walk before you run.

Isnt Vandys academic admission standards higher than UT?

And although Tennessee has a policy not allowing exceptions, they do. I have personal knowledge of two players that that were dumb as rocks but good and football.
Check out the story behind Swaims sat or act test.
They do all sorts of stuff.

No, we’re not. We’re better in every way off the field, yet actually worse on the field. 4 out of 6 losses to them is what it is.

After Butch....immeasurably. I gotta believe Pruitt's BIG ORANGE CRUSHING Defense will leave the commode doors anchored down. The question is can Helton/Friend/Gillespie/TBD BIG ORANGE SCORING MACHINE offense put points on the board.

They would have to win the next 74 head to head games to get the series to .500... Game over

True as can be, if looking at the historical record; however, are they better than UT Now? And what about Memphis? There is little doubt Memphis would have kicked our ass this year (of course with cbj at the helm, that's not saying much).
