Some people might have forgotten...Kippy Brown became the interim head football coach of the University of Tennessee Volunteers after first-year head coach Lane Kiffin resigned effective immediately

YES - a LOT of Tennessee fans and even a few boosters wanted to hire Kippy after Kiffin bolted, especially after Brown stuck it out after Lane planted the knife and his pack of degenerates followed him west.

Would he have made a great HC? Who knows, but I bet he would have done better here than Dooley

End of the day, Kippy Brown did his best for the University of Tennessee and for that I'll always be grateful...RIP in Coach.

Damn. I remember hearing of Kippy at Sweetwater High. He was living in The Grove in College Grove after he retired but he moved to Florida a few years ago to be closer to family. Great coach & seemed like a great guy.
