I don't post alot anymore because a lot of you guys are so darn emotional and confrontational. You forget recruits look at these sites. Anyway, what I can take away from today is one thing-

were still on schedule.

Dooley had us so far behind on recruits and talent that were paying the price now. He didn't recruit enough line talent that's why we're starting 4-5 new starters on each line.

We expected to be about a 5 to 6 win team this year, the goal this year was to get to a bowl to get these kids valuable game time to prepare them for the next few years and to have next year's class ready to go with them.

Don't forget, except Worley and aj, we will return EVERYBODY next year. You guys saw a little success against Georgia and you thought we were a 9 win team and we just arent.

Florida has more raw talent on their team than we do. A lot more. Just compare the past four recruiting classes they had to our four. They should be dominated us, but we essentially were better than them. I'm proud of our guys.

And as to bajakian. He didn't become dumb overnight. He has the near impossible job to run a high powered wr core to be successful with an inexperienced and moderately talented qb and a (let's face it) lower big ten level quality of o line. Maybe worse. It's hard to get your wr open for 20 Yd outs when the line can't block blue chippers with game experience! I don't understand what you guys thought would happen. I'm impressed he's even got us moving the ball with consistency we do.

So in conclusion guys, calm down, we are a 5 win team at worst, a 7 win at best. I agree that Jake took the foot off the pedal a little but he couldn't help the sacks and the fact we couldn't get a hole rushing wise and the injury to JH.

Remember also- recruits see this and don't want to think the coach they're buying into might be fired. He wont. And neither will butch. I guarantee to you that when we have our lines with depth next year and our defense at full strength; even with a game manager like Dobbs at qb, we can expect to see substantial growth. Always give the coach three years to implement his systems. Not two conf games into the second year, you idiots :)

and as always, 12-0 or 0-12 It's great to be a tennessee vol!

Recruits don't give two she-its about this site. All they care about is going to a winning program. And before you start into your little "idiot" rant, remember - UF took 3 OTs to beat UK. THREE!! Which means they are about UK good. If you don't expect to beat teams of UK's caliber, you aren't a real UT fan. You're more like a Kansas fan. Rock, chalk Jayhawk!!

We are worse on offense than any Dooley led team, but much improved on defense. So, we're about where we were in 2011 when Wilcox was DC, except we're doing better in recruiting.

Nice post but most here will probably flame you and say everybody on the coaching staff sucks then come back beating their chests in a couple years saying how awesome their vols are.

Haha idiot was tame buddy. I could be alot worse but I wont.

Like I just quoted from someone else, you'll say every coach is an idiot and not as smart as you are, even though they've coached division one ball for decades and you work at citgo warming the hot dogs! And yes recruits do read these all the time, They Google Themselves. And volnation comes up with ur trash

Losing makes one emotional and confrontational, or it should. :disappointed:

Maybe better offensively but that offense had EXPERIENCE and an oline. We dont. And that defense had more experience than we do and we're already better. Those teams had nowhere near the discipline we have now barring some of the freshman mistakes today

But wait, what year are we in? Weren't we in year zero with Dooley? Ok so that makes it what, year three??

No, you should handle the loss with class and learn from your mistakes to get better. That's what I teach my kids. That's why I don't agree when kids get participation trophies and don't keep score in youth leagues. You gotta teach there are winners and losers. If you dont, you get prissy kids that dance when they win and throw **** and blame others when they lose. Just like a lot of you guys do, you can't handle a loss, prolly can't in real life either. You guys are sore losers. Show class, smile and just know when we get OUR guys up here and get OUR coaches getting Em ready, we will whip their arses up and down this and anyone else's field

No idiot the years start when the coach is hired. One month into year two. Call me in December of next year and if we have 4 wins, problem time

Despite the final score Tennessee held UF to 10 points...how many points did the Gators score against Bama's tough defense....and how many points did UK give up to Florida's offense in regulation? We regroup and gear up for fixing things next week and get ready for Ole Miss and Bama.

I don't care how many OT's they played, UF is NOT "of UK's caliber".. If you can't see that, then I just don't know what to say....

Oh yea, I guess all that 'winning' we've been doing the last couple of years explains Butch's recruiting lately.... SMDH...

Your argument is bad. KY is giving USCe all they want right now and may win the game. This ain't your daddy's KY. Of course, USCe may just suck too. We'll know more after a few more games.

I agree to disagree. A football team changes each day as does life. We all expected a 5 to 7 win season, BUT after a few well played games the expection changes. Accepting this loss as we are on schedule as to what was expected from TN only lowers ones IQ. We Are Tennessee and should and demand perfection. I know our coaches do. I expect us to win each and every game. GBO you will always have my respect. FYI - please Mr. Worley run the ball more than three times in four games. Every team knows your going to hand it off. This is one main option to make this system run as it was designed.

I agree with almost everything you said and gave that post a like. But I don't think this is a game that you can take away a positive that we fought. We were favored to win, had every chance to put them away in the 3rd, and the game was very winnable even when the lead evaporated. There is no moral victory today, only a very painful loss. However, I have faith still that we are on the right track, and that Butch is doing good things with this program. Today was just a tough reminder that we still have quite a ways to go. It's the last thing we want to hear as fans who have been through constant crap since 2008, but more patience will be required. The wins will come.

Expectations on how well you play might change but the schedule doesnt. We have the toughest in ncaa

After today and watching the other games, I only see Vandy and Chattanooga as wins. Don't look now but KY just beat USCe.

Offense and the OC took a big step back today.

This is ALL COACHING.....when you see Kentucky damn near beat Fl in the swamp and would have if the refs would have called the delay of game and then Kentucky beats S. Carolina and do you think Kentucky has more talent than TENN...........not even close.....Tenn O-line coach and O-Coord need to have a few sit down mtgs to get their issh together and find out what person does best in certain blocking schemes then you call the play according to the strength.........just watch BAMA run all day to the LEFT side of the O-Line

This O-Line should be better by now as you have practiced for about 10 weeks now, I just think its a personnel and scheme problem that the coaches don't see, as Im not buying they can't block...........as some of these guys were recruited by a lot of schools coming out of high school and they DO know how to block
