#1 Mr. Currie it might buy you some more time on the job. Takes the heat off and if it blows up, well it's what the fans wanted

#2 He's an ace recruiter. They're be no shortage of talent

#3 He strikes me a hungry but humble...like Dabo when he got his big chance. Dabo was humble enough to take less money to surround himself with he best assistants he can find. Tee strikes me as having a similar personality.

#4 First HC job? There's a guy named Phil close by that would be happy to help/mentor

Honesty Currie, are you actually brain damaged? If I were on pain pills while simultaneously having a concussion I could still conduct this search better than you have.

I understand all the craziness... Your only hope to unite a fanbase keep recruits and have some leeway for the next coach is to hire Tee Martin... No sense to not give him a call AND OFFER... He doesn't deserve this... WE DONT DESERVE THIS! Get it done!

You have my vote! We need a VFL at the helm.

Again, I am baffled how one coordinator is a home run hire over any other unproven OC or DC in the country simply because he was the QB on our national championship team. This is a person that snubbed his nose at his alma mater when asked to come here as the OC. Having worn Orange is not a solid resume item for ensuring success.

Exactly, just because he was a player here, just because he has been a good assistant, just because he is black - not reasons to hire a roll of the dice coach. That's why not bringing him in with Lane Kiffin and Kevin Steele is about as an idiotic thing as I've ever heard of. Then Tee could have had a few more years, the program back on solid and winning ground, and he would not be set up to fail. This entire thing is a cluster, but brining Tee in as a HC at this point just because of all the other dumba$$ moves is not the answer.

Noooo. I'd rather have Steele than Martin. Guy has been a OC for a minute. No clue why so many think he'd be successful here. Soo many other talented coaches out there its just a wait and see if Currie will move on any.

He would at least bring back nostalgia for most. Gives hope he can return to that. Now, Spurrier compared him to Shula. That fits. The way to counter that is bring in the best coordinators money can buy. People think Dabo is where he is without his great coordinators?

I would actually be fine with bringing him in as OC and see if he can be groomed for a potential HC position in the future. He is just not ready to be our HC yet.

I love the idea of bringing in an older experienced coach like Miles for a while and bring Tee as OC and Assistant HC and let Fulmer be AD and help groom Tee and teach him how to build a program back up. I doubt he makes over 700k at USC, give him a considerable raise and let him know he is being groomed to be the HC in the future. Like I said in a different thread, I am deathly afraid we pass on Tee and in a few years he goes to one of our rivals in the SEC and becomes a star HC.
