Quick thoughts...

bingo. the 2nd and longs that led to 3rd and longs on those 1st two series, were killer. once we were down 2 scores, i knew it'd be tough.

and even though i was fired up about the 2nd qtr, the reality was they got the ball back with 5 minutes to go, got a FG, still one score game at that point (i thought holding them to that FG was a game saving stop to be honest)...but in the back of my mind, kowing they'd get the ball at the half, that 1st possession was gong to be huge. down 20 to 7 before we got to touch the ball in the 2nd half really put our offense in a bad spot.

two good things to take away from that...we allowed only 1 sack and didn't turn it over. if anyone wants a silver lining, that's probably it.

Yep, that opening 2 series were disastrous to our chances. Our margins were thin to begin with and that created a deep hole for us.

WV is the type of team where they are above average but if they get a lead on you it forces you to leave your style and then their offensive abilities snowball on you.

Looking at the score is useless if they win.

agreed. for that game yesterday, if they win, it's pretty well prescribed how they did it.

when we got that fumble recovering in the last 10 minutes of the game, my wife was like "oh, well you never know..." i was like "sweetie, that turnover needed to happen in the 1st ten minutes, not the last ten minutes". lol.
