Question on "hypothetical" announcement??

From what it appears, an impending announcment is going to have to wait til the end of the season barring a loss in one of our last 4 games.
What if there is a barely squeek by last minute Vol win to someone like Troy, Mizzou, or any of the remainders? Any chance of something coming out sooner than anticipated?

I doubt we hear anything until Hart/donors have a deal done with the new HC. They will then feel comfortable going public with it. IMO, Dooley has already been told. It could be tomorrow morning. It could be December.

Bad sign if Dooley is gone before the end of the season, especially if its just "out of the blue".

I disagree. I would take that as a great sign. That means Hart has got his man. If we get to a couple days past the UK game and Dools is still coach, hit the panic button.

I guess it depends if there is a plan currently in place and that plan does not require a rushed timeline (read: Gruden). If that is the case, there is no reason to rush Dooley out the door as that would mean the deal had fallen through. Now, if there is still an option in place to potentially retain Dooley for another year, then yes, if one was rooting against that it would be ideal for a mid-season ouster.

Dooley IS a bad sign. How did you miss that? I think the team would be absolutely fired up if he was sent packing and maybe name Chaney the Interim HC. Would communicate that this program is ready to make the necessary corrections. Right now, it looks like they are just sitting on their hands. It also keeps the fanbase frustrated and angry at the AD.

Hart should have made the move last year, after the KY game. That was an historic low, and the resulting chit storm caused 80% of the staff to get out of Dodge. Funny they had a clue when Hart didn't.

Every game we have to sit and wallow in this filth, tells me he's not the right AD and needs to go right along with Dooley. Just clean house. Coach, AD and all.
