Question on Grad. Asst.

A lot has been made of Gruden being a former Graduate Asst. at UT. I have an acquaintance who used to blow off a lot in person and on the radio that his son was a coach at FSU. I met the kid once and he couldn't have been a day over 23, therefore I know he was a Grad. Asst. My question is; are these guys paid for there work?

I believe they get tuition for Grad school. I could be wrong.

it varies. Sometimes GAs get free tuition, sometimes they get a monthly stipend and sometimes they get both. It also varies on how important their role is.
