You know as well as I do that a healthy Bama is bad news for UT. It's looking like a 10-12 year winning streak for Bama.

Why do you say that?...Bama hasn't been much bad news to us in the past 15 years healthy or unhealthy...Last two years you beat a UT team that wasn't even close to normal yet you brag about it :eek:lol: Here's something for you to ponder, You have had ONE good season in the past 10 and yet you make it to the SEC title game and LOSE and then to the sugar bowl and LOSE so basically you have accomplished NOTHING...Might as well finished 6-6 liike the year before as it held about as much meaning as last year...Now run along silly bammer. :salute: P.S. Hows that probation treating you? :eek:lol:

No that was just Utah.

Once again, I'll thank the Utes of Utah for crushing Alabama's BCS bowl.

If Corso picks the Vols over florida, we won't stand a chance against the gators. Regardless of how the first two games play out.

oh crap, the corso curse. i dont think he will pick us tho. i hope not anyway.

After only games against WKU,and then UCLA I still worry about Crompton in Gainesville against the Gators.

Agree. That and weaknesses on the OL will have to be worked around for a chance to win in the swamp.

UCLA is the key to the season. That loss last year is what set off our season on the downward spiral. We need to win confidently. Then, Florida is next and confidence can only help. It would take a miracle to get the upset, but crazier things have happened. I believe Bama will be our big win this year. They are overrated, the Utah game showed there true self. After that it's at least a 10-12 year winning streak over the Bammers.:p

Cannot agree more. It seems everyone is taking this game for granted, but to achieve an 8 win season, we MUST win this game!

The big thing in the Bama loss to Utah was their inability to block the speed rushers...well, the whole DL of Utah. I have a feeling their brand new QB is going to LOVE meeting Chris Walker and Ben Martin...on a regular basis. :)

You guys are doing it all over again - thinking of the UCLA game as a walkover.

Many of you last year had the Vols winning by 40 points or more. While I never said prior to that game that the Bruins would win, I did say that the game would be a lot closer than most of you thought, primarily due to two factors: Norm Chow and Kai Forbath (the PK). Through luck - the Foster fumble - I turned out to be correct.

So here's the real question: Which team will be the more improved over last year- UCLA or UT? From the Bruin side it's strictly addition by subtraction - Craft out and Prince in at QB. I don't know the ins and outs of the UT team like you guys do, so I can't comment how improved the Vols will be, so clue me in, please.

Thanks.

Obviously the biggest change for us is an entirely new coaching staff.
The D will be solid, due to the returning starters and the addition of Monte and Oregeron
Offense our biggest question mark is QB...

I still think we win, no way will Monte let a first year QB carve us up like Craft did last year...

I agree. Monte won't let that happen. A few tweaks here and there in a timely fashion will and would have made all the difference in the world. Look, a win by any amount of points will be a confidence builder, no matter how it happens. Going into the swamp 2-0 will give our guys the confidence to go out and play our game. All of the pressure is on them. We're not expected to win this one, but teams like Vandy and Kentucky occasionally bring a good game and give us a run for our money. I think it can be done.

We were also right in that a loss would ve the indicator of a very sorry football team. We were that. Coaching also clearly made a difference. You guys had some, we didn't.
