Question for those who attended the WYO game.

UH. With two "gift" interceptions, that was def. not the case last Sat.! - UT is not a very good football team, well, not a very good offensive football team - when WY got the first TD, I'm sure all the guys (& fans) were thinking "here we go again." Confidence & momentum (and the lack thereof) is huge.
All I've heard really from Vol fans is that your team quit etc... I don't believe that to be the case when your coaches come out and say your defense played great and good enuf to win.
Playing "great" and playing "good enuf" are two diff things. Clearly UT's defense played good enough to win - WY only scored what we gave them - but if they had created turnovers, scored, or even tackled your QB on that one 3rd and long, I might say they played great.
So did Wyoming play well or did your guys just quit and not care, not even try to win?
I don't think we quit - frankly, I wasn't impressed with WY, but you were the better of two crappy teams.

Have never seen WY play this season or last - can't say whether your team is improving or not.

I've been to many games in my 42 years as a Vol fan, but I've never seen a crowd or team as low as this one. It's always better to win than lose, but Wyoming didn't get a real Tn team, nor a real Neyland crowd. You were able to take advantage of the breaks given and win the game. I don't think the Vols quit, but I don't think you got our best effort.

Well, they got the best effort of this team unless BJ Coleman makes a miraculous appearance and leads us to victory. As far as our tradition goes, they definitely got a paltry example of what Tennessee football is supposed to be.

I don't think so, if you've ever played sports, you know how much the mental aspect plays into it. This team was emotionally spent and I think that had to play a part. We scored 35 on UAB who's probably similar to Wyoming talent wise.

Our offensive line was the only position that didn't show up to play. I guarantee a few of them quit. Our QBs just suck so bad that it caused us to lose. Our defense obviously didn't quit because your offense didn't move the ball on us. Your linebackers did.

Any mediocre or even just a bad offensive line (from a bcs type school) would have been able to push your over matched and under talented front 7 and score 28 points with ease... averaging 5 yard per carry. But - our line honestly sucks that bad. Your 4th string NT blew through our line several times. Enough said. This is the worst O-line i've seen at UT - there's no intensity at all with exception of McClendon and Richard imo.

I can understand that they may not understand the schemes and be on the same page - but they should have been able to line up and push these crap D-lines around just based on pure strength and talent that we've seen from Wyoming and NIU. Its really sad and these guys need to man up next year.

:) It is hard to not root for our QB. You dont see too many that look like him and he has a great attitude! Joe Glenn joked when he saw him arrive in the fall that his summer workouts must have consisted of cheeseburgers. He actually was our 4th string QB until the last 2 games. From what we have had to endure all year, many of us really like the way he manages the game and especially the confidence he has to call the audibles he does as a freshman!

I think you guys played a good game and your defensive secondary hit hard. Our offense hasn't been able to score all year so they didn't give up, they already were terrible. I envied the way your QB hustled and completed the big pass at the end of the game to run the clock down. Our QB couldn't complete a pass in a pressure situation to save his life. Congratulations on a good game.
GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had to leave at 1/2 time for fear of vomiting on the couple in front of me. But what I did see was Wyo got the breaks early and had the D to keep our vaunted offense off the field. Congrats and TG I didnt have to pay for those tix or parking. Sorry for those who ppv'd it.

the smartest thing Wyoming did was put the game in the hands of Moore and their other running backs. Once Wyoming got the lead, they did everything they could to make sure Eric Berry couldn't do anything special and essentially dared our offense to score 14 points. And we failed. Wyoming won this game on strategy and deserve all the credit.

I really didn't think Wyoming was that good other than their running back having a decent game. At least they had the smarts to run with the ball after they intercepted it.

what you all wana make fun of fat qb's for, i was a fat starting HS qb! at a 3a school that sucked ass. but i threw 10 Td passes my senior year, 6 of them were on buble screens LMAO, on a side note i threw 5 int's, hey maybe ill walk on @ UT next year LMAO! maybe they shoud run the ofense we ran had 4 sets, wishbone, wing T, 2 TE ace, and the I. but we had the option of 1 audible, that was if we were in the Dual TE ace, i could go to the shot gun but still had to run the vere or buble screen or option, our OC was the next charlie weiss, but i think they bought that book and finaly put in the spread, oh and found a real QB.

No, I understand completely. You feel the need to boost your point of view buy touting your resume. (i.e., if you played sports you know, I own 2 businesses so I know, I have a masters so I know). Even if any of that is true (some people actually lie about themselves on the internet) none of it gives your opinion any more credence than the next poster.

As for your belittled comment, believe what you wish.
