This is for those who actually WATCHED the game. I'm trying to keep the Biased opinions out cuz I know most of you will say that Tennessee didn't play hard.

My Cowboys are going through what I consider the most disappointing season in 50 years. We had a lot of Starters coming back and were expecting a great season. Leading the Nation in Turnovers has caused everything to fall apart. But the potential was still there.

So for those who watched the game, would you say Wyoming was better than you expected? And why? Over the last few years Wyoming's defense has been ranked in the top 10/ top 5 in the nation. The football Turnover Gods have just been crazily against us.

All I've heard really from Vol fans is that your team quit etc... I don't believe that to be the case when your coaches come out and say your defense played great and good enuf to win.

So did Wyoming play well or did your guys just quit and not care, not even try to win?

No biased opinions.. thanks. I need to know if my Cowboys are improving.

Tennessee did not quit.

The offense played no worse than it has in any other game this season. Wyoming was able to take 2 turnovers and turn them into points, which had not been happening. UT would turn the ball over but the defense usually got the ball back. Last Saturday they did not do that.

I'd say that offensively you guys were a little better than I expected in that you took care of the football for the most part and moved it a little. Defensively, it's hard to evaluate anybody's performance against us right now because our QB and O-line play has been absolutely horrific. The past 2 weeks we've had 40 points total scored on us and 28 of it has been a result of turnovers being returned either for TDs or inside the 5 yard line.

I don't think the offense really quit playing. It looked about as bad as it's been all season.

Wyoming didn't make any critical mistakes. Tennessee did. It is as simple as that. Wyoming deserved to win that game.

Considering Wyo did not have an offensive score, I'd say they played like crap and had fortunate opportunities that they capitilized on considering turnovers. Like you eluded to above, yall aint world beaters.

They did score offensively. After an interception that gave them the ball on Tennessee's 4 yard line

Your running back wasn't bad, but other than that we couldn't do anything on offense, and that's been the story all season. If we had an offense, it wouldn't have been a pretty game.

Wyoming qualities I saw...

Good running back, and well schooled O-Line.

Active LBs that were not really fooled by anything they saw.

Actually, after our lone TD drive, Wyoming did turn it over at midfield in the 3rd quarter and that should have swung the momentum over to us completely but . . .

Tennessee threw 2 picks that were ran back for TD's. As usual the D played great and the O played as bad as their ranked in the country almost dead last in all major catagories. We are the notre dame of last year period.

I was perched on the 50 yard line and witnessed every play....

I would say the WY defense was pretty solid. However, the UT offense is, well, offensive. An offense that has scored <10 pts on 4 occassions this year.....

The WY offense was not much better than UT... I was surprised at how well WY was able to run the ball. Especially late in the game in OBVIOUS running situations. I can't recall the number but there were several 3rd and looooongs converted via the run. Other than that, your first TD was from the 4 yard line via Stephens interception. Your second TD was a defensive touchdown. Throw in a missed FG and there you have it.

I don't know about "quitting" but UT certainly did not have a lot of intensity. I think the interception returned to the 4 and then converted to TD was a huge morale boost for the Cowboys. Keep in mind that UT had driven to WY territory when this occurred..... Had UT went on to score, who knows if your boys would have stayed as focused.

Anyway, hope this helps.

oh c'mon justin. From the 4. and it was the very next play if I remember correctly. Took all of about 7 seconds from spot to score.

I was being smartass and trying to give Wyoming's QB, who looked like an offensive guard, some credit. :p

That was definitely a mistake, but it wasn't critical because they did not let us turn it into points. Or at least that was my thinking. In any case, we got beat. Poor offensive play is a reason why, not an excuse like some present it.

Then we went 3 and out.....

I also remember Colquit pinning them on the 1 yd line yet they were still able to regain field position via a fairly long drive.

Thanks.... Our Freshman QB was making his 2nd start ever. I was surprised our offense didn't turn it over atleast 5 times (which has been our average). We benched our 3 year starting QB and it gave the team a boost. Sounds like a Typical Field position game that we've been trying to play.

That's the way to play against us this year. No need to take chances since if you punt it to us you'll most likely get it back in a few plays because we can't remotely sustain anything offensively.

I think Wyoming could probably say the same thing. 2 bad offenses... 2 good defenses... whoever makes the mistakes loses.

I didn't think there is anyway there could be an offense as bad as ours this year. Sadly, our offense didn't score on its own, but it was our best offensive game of the year. Only 1 turnover!!

Moore is a good tailback
