Ok this can be a controversial subject but I have been wanting to ask for a long time.
For Christmas I got my son a Wii. Hooked it up and popped in a few games to give it a try and it was quite a bit of fun. I have heard some serious hating going on against the Wii but it is a fun little system so it got my thinking about the other system. I will admit I am a PS3 fanboy. I love my shiny black sports car of a gaming system. And for all the hate I have towards all things Xbox I decided to give it a try and see if my assumptions were misguided and that maybe I am missing out on some fun times gaming because of some misinformed bias.
While at my in-laws for christmas my brother-in-law has a Xbox so i decided to give it a try and see. We started off with Madden. While a little funky at first the controler was easy to get used to so no complaints there. After game or two curiosity got the best of my and I tried out GOW2. while a fun little game it was not some groundbreaking revalation like I was expecting. Now the chainsaw was kick ass. I really dug me some chainsaw melee but is that really the whole draw? After 20-30 min of single player to get used to the controls I hopped onto multiplayer and was again not impressed. While a good solid game it was not a system seller per say. Next game on my to try list was Halo 3. I was really hopeing this would be the one to catch my attention because I have read a few of the halo novels during bored times and it really seemed like something i could get into. Once again I was dissapointed because the experiance was about as vanilla as possible.
I have spent close to 400 hours on warhawk and I am nearing in on 50 hours of Resistance 2 and IMO both of those games had more of a attraction than either of the major 360 shooters.
Now my question to you is what makes the 360 your system of choice. I really want to hear from the guys who have both systems and still choose the 360 and the guys who have had many RROD experiances yet keep mailing there system in.
