Question for the forum owners

he has a number of them. I guess I can get trapped into that as well, because we agree on a number of subjects. However, I do think Hat sometimes goes too far, but I probably go too far on occasion too.

Why don't you just rename this "FirePhilFulmer.Com" and be done with it? I mean seriously how many of these bust on fulmer type of threads are gonna be enough?

We get it! There are a crap load of fans that want to see him go, but come on! There has to be more to discuss than how sorry of a Coach Phil fulmer is.
On that note,
I can't wait until Small Mike gets his press pass. I may have to actually start watching Fulmer's press conferences again.

I think Volnation.com suits this website just fine, our Mods do an outstanding job on this board and they have merged many a threads regarding Fulmer, they have also let it be known to find an excisting thread to post about Fulmer. They cant do it all, or can they.:)

Sorry, didn't mean this as a disparage towards the moderators of this forum. They obviously do an excellent job.

I'm just as frustrated with the situation as the next fan but I am also a realist. Without the cash or Fulmer stepping down we are stuck with him. All the complaining is accomplishing nothing.

I'm just hoping that some of our young men playing football for the University of Tennessee do not read this forum.

That is what I find interesting about the entire debate. You hear Trooper Taylor say that the boards and the media hurt recruiting, then in typical fashion the boards react and say that winning is the best cure.

All the while, some fans believe that the players are isolated from all of the criticism unless they read fanboards. Well, first of all, there is unprecedented ground swell of media criticism, unlike CPF has ever seen. The players know that.

More to the point, the players know CPF, and they know the culture of this team better than anyone. Unless they are dimwits (and I don't think they are) they feel the firestorm. Heck, we have few posters on this board that live in the same dorm with the athletes. They will tell you that the athletes know that a storm is brewing.

Frustration abounds, and winning is the only way to stop it.

For any coach to ever come down on fans for coming down on them is plain cowardly. I suppose we should back off and just lower our expectations.
Wouldn't it be nice to live in a world where you didn't have to work hard to succeed, but instead lowered expectations to the current mediocrity.

That is precisely why people are so irritated. Some say we don't have the right, or that we are living vicariously. I say we spend our money and time to support the team, and when it doesn't look like they are working hard, they need to hear about it.

I can understand losing now and then. It happens to every great team. I cannot understand repetitive mistakes, for a team that is supposedly working like heck.

I would like to take this opportunity to openly suck up to the Mods here and point out what a challenging and thankless job they have.

They allow this to be a good forum for debate about UT sports and allow all viewpoints to have their say.

My ban button trigger finger would be much more itchy.

That's because you're the Dark Lord!

Oh, the world would be a scary place to live if I could choke people from a distance.

Thanks for the pic. I am adding it to the archives.

While I see your point, CPF is the coach of the biggest sport at UT. Our football team is having issues so he's a lightning rod. I think everyone here just wants to see UT return to prominence.

I do think the personal shots/fat jokes are out of line though. But hey, it's not my board and I just visit occasionally.

:salute:

Sarcasm, hopefully. Otherwise, denial is a nice route. :p

Everyone should have an opportunity to vent regardless. Not everybody lives on the board so a lot of people will chime in and get out for a week or two so it's good to allow people to post what they want if they abide by forum rules.

It seems simple to me. If you don't like what you are reading than go to the next thread or create one.
