Question about the Recruits

Can our incoming football players study playbooks and talk to coaches about strategy and all the football stuff now or do they have to wait until they are actually on campus, im not sure how the rules work with that.

I believe once they sign, they can get a UT playbook and start learning the assignments.

I remember a story of David Cutcliffe going to Peyton Manning's house with a playbook and talking about the offense after he signed. I'm pretty sure this was before he enrolled.

Well if they have to sign before they can look at the playbook then Saban again cheated because Trent Richardson had a play book after he committed and when he was waivering they were very worried.

Wouldn't it be pretty unsecure to leave a playbook with someone who is not on campus, yet? What if that person fails to qualify academically? Now, that playbook is out on the street and could be available for ANYBODY'S perusal. To further govols182's point, if Saban left a playbook for Richardson to study prior to signing a LOI wouldn't that be an additional benefit that other enrollees of Alabama would not be entitled to? If so, it's violation city, babeeeee! (sorry, got caught up in the bracket fever today)

i was thinkin the same thing if some kid had it off campus then anyone could see it

That is correct, they also get a workout schedule showing the different types of workouts and running drills they need to be doing.
