Why is it when Nick Saban call a team/player out its good coaching but when Dooley does it. Its bad for the the players/team?

I'd say that Saban winning two NCs has something to do it.

Doesn't bother me, but being publicly critical of players during bad times can sometimes backfire.

I hate hearing all this Dooley/Saban bs. Dooley was an assistant to Saban, he isn't Saban. He was his special teams and recruiting coordinator. All the comparisons need to stop. There are plenty of coaches who are great that did not work under Nick Saban.

As for the original post, it comes down to the fact that Saban wins and wins big and has control over everything in his program.

For REALS! Saban's just a fat hairy winnin' machine who pisses excellence. Its not like he was a .500 ball coach his first four years in the Big Te... oh wait:

Long view, fellas.

Saban is gonna get number 3 this year. You give Saban a month and a half to get ready for LSU?:good!:

Brah what Sab did at MSU is still light years ahead of what Dooley is doing here... how many games has Dools won outside the state of Tennessee again?

So a light year = three games?

He was a middling coach, thats one of the reasons the 2001 SECCG was such a shocker.

Stupid. You realize Michigan State was sanctioned when he took over?

Of course you don't. Also lead MSU to their best record in 40 years.

It's amazing how championships eliminate the negative/pessimistic subjectivity of comments.

When things are going bad, it doesn't matter what a coach's characteristics/idiosyncrasies are...they are to blame.

The same exact characteristics/idiosyncrasies are admired if the coach then wins by the same fickle fans.

Sure I do. Don't you realize UT has had the NCAA up its butt for the last two years? Don't you realize we have had the worst personnel issues we've had since WWII?

Of course you do. You just had your feelings hurt and are ignoring it because you believe there must be a quick fix.

Were we sanctioned? I don't think so. Yeah, we have personnel issues, yet it's more than that. You watch our games? You can tell we aren't well coached.

I didn't realize asking for a win over Kentucky and not getting blown out by 40 by Arkansas was asking for a quick fix.

Furthermore, he didn't have that season at MSU until he lost 21 games in four seasons.

I never said we were sanctioned, but we might as well have been after Kiffy left.

Are you really so butt-hurt by a lack of moral victories? Did you seriously just trot that turkey out there?

Wow. What kind of reasoning is that?

1) That's not what your asking for?

and

2) If you are wanting Dooley fired, you are probably expecting a "quick fix."
