I've had season tickets for 20 years, but have never used the KAT shuttle (always had a parking pass and still do). My dad (66 years old) had ankle reconstruction performed a few months ago after an accident and has trouble walking long distances.

I was looking at the KAT shuttle which drops off at Phillip Fulmer Way and Cumberland to cut down on walking distance for his sake.

Has anyone used this? Is there a danger of it "selling out" on gamedays, particularly from the Civic Coliseum?

I've used both the Krutch Park and Civic Coliseum shuttles and have never had a problem. I try to get to the stadium 2 hours ahead of time so I don't know if it would be more limited closer to game time.

I forget the year, so excuse me for that but I went to the South Carolina game where Clausen threw a TD pass to Banks in OT for the win shortly after dislocating my patella. I was in a full leg brace and took the shuttle from the AG building right to Gate 21. I even rode over with an usher who "found" a seat for me on the lower level as my original ticket was for upper deck (purchsed before injury). he wouldn't even take any money from me for it.

I love parking behind Downtown Grill and Brewery and catching the shuttle over from Krutch Park after a couple rooftop beers--cheap and convenient. The only problem is that I've gotten caught on the bus after a game at times and just sat there for what seemed like an eternity without moving. The lines after the game to get back on the shuttle will tend to be pretty long too. You eventually get there, but I would just suggest not to be in too much of a hurry, especially since walking doesn't seem like an option.

I parked at the colosseum last year and took the shuttle and going was fine but getting back took a long time because of the lines. We got there about an hour or so before kickoff and had no trouble getting there in time.

Be careful where the bus unloads. We always ride over from the Ag campus and the steep hill going down to Neyland is treacherous at best and for your father that could be serious.

I always park at the coliseum and take the shuttle, never had a problem. I like it.

I've used the KAT from the Civic Coliseum a lot and really like it. The biggest issue I have is how crowded they are after the game going back, but I try to get out of there fast and that may the whole issue. I'm not sure how it would be if you took your time and wasn't trying to get on the first ones back and in a hurry to get out of there like I usually do.
