I know it don't matter much, but if you go back and watch this game. HB and BM looked better then Hooker, I thought both of them did a great job of running the team on offense.
And then here's Milton starting the first game, ?????? , why would this guy get the nod and only been here a few weeks???????
Even now, Hooker looks better then Milton ( WHY ) Hooker is doing a great job at this point. BUT after BM transferred Milton and Hooker must be getting all of the first rep's at practice.
Does HB have any chance of getting an fair look at least, at any point this year. At least he has stayed and competed for a chance, does this count for anything ????? Milton even goes in after Hooker gets hurt and he's not at 100% ??????
I'm not bashing Hooker at all, I think he is doing a great job so far but the 1 and 2 QB's are not passing the ball very well and it is hurting our offense. " I'm NO COACH JUST A FAN "
and I'm just asking if anyone else see's what I see, and we might not matter much on opinions but I care about my team as a fan.
So that brings me to wonder ( what does this coaching staff know ) ????? We will see what they know by the end of this year or we will be wondering what if AGAIN.
There's always next year.

P.S This is why people are wanting to see HB get his SHOT at QB. If you see anything different, please fill free to let me have it !!!!!!!!

Dude… he was playing against our 4th string in the OW game. He sucked in the time we saw him 2 games ago.

BM is too prone to turnovers, loose cannon.

We are where we are now. Let’s ride with Hooker or Milton and hope the incoming freshman can be ready as fast as possible.

This is what drinking on a Wednesday will get you 🤦‍♂️. We have seen this movie many times in the last few weeks.

I mean I think most reasonable fans see something you don’t see then and after Baileys play a couple weeks ago it’s pretty obvious what the coaches see. He struggles throwing to the sidelines, he stares down his target from the time he lines up, and he’s not a runner.

I saw Bailey play against Tennessee Tech and it was easy to see why he's a distant third. How he looked in the one open spring practice against a base defense means exactly squat.

I really hope you didn't waste your time and watch that again. No matter what you think you saw the coaches are not listening to you so you're wasting valuable time.

Orange and White game. Where Kirsten Biggers and David Yancey looked like All Americans. Did they ever score one TD in an actual game?

Same for that walk-on this year that was carving up the scrub DBs we never heard of. It’s an exhibition game and should have no bearing on what’s going on. Neither should their performance last year…running other systems for other coaches.

While we’re at it, let’s give Jerome Carvin a shot at QB. I mean, obviously, the fans haven’t seen him get a chance, so how do we know that the other 3 are better? I just can’t understand why these ignorant coaches don’t even know who’s on their own roster.

So OP, if you'll remember, Janzen was tearing up our secondary in that spring game and where is he now? The spring game was an exhibition, kinda like an old Globetrotters game. I put no credence in that game, and on the other hand, put no credence in HB's performance in the TTU game either. He came in cold with the burden of trying to impress his coaches. I'd say both games are outliers, which brings us to this: one of the best QB coaches in America assesses him every day. Gotta put your trust in him.

Before the season started Bailey was my choice at Quarterback but now I have seen a Heupel Offence in action he clearly uses the best Quarterback for his system (a mobile Quarterback who can throw the long ball). Now Bailey just might be the best Quarterback of the three but not for this system, whereas Milton is almost perfect, except he just cannot deliver it I guess its driving Heupel crazy.

As regards to the O & W game, remember that Dormady went a perfect 10 for 10 so it means diddly and thats why I would much rather a cup-cake friendly that this gloried a stage managed scrimmage in April.

In short Hooker is best right now.

For me self, says I, I says, I likes mes Jamaican rum flavored coffee wid three tablespoons of Bailey's Irish Cream added. But if ther bees wins without the cream, says I, I says, I'd forgo the Bailey's and drink me coffee black. I is a Bailey man, but I'd take the wins however that me can. I likes feshes too. Matters not to me what bait is on the hook, or whether the biting fesh is uh bass, trout, or carp. It's still a fesh I'd fry and eat with a smite of hot sauce or a dab of horseradish. Which is better than not eating at all. Says I, i says.

I mean, I get what you’re saying, but that was weird.
But I still laughed. 😂

It’s obvious at this point that Milton must’ve been promised the start as bait for his transfer. Maybe Hoople looked at what he had and figured desperate times call for desperate measures. Whatever the case, with benefit of hindsight it was a bad coaching decision that probably cost him the win over Pitt, which may well turn out to have been the sixth win he needed for bowl eligibility and fan/recruit buy-in going into 2022. If they don’t win against Missouri, they’ll have to give HB a shot at playing with the 1s in meaningful game time situations just to appease the fan base.

It’s amazing the scenarios ppl invent in their heads. I would imagine Milton looked much better/calmer in practice than in games. None of our QBs have been great we just went with the one with most potential early on.

Too many extreme opinions on Baileys on VN. Particularly sick of the 'he's crap because he's not starting' viewpoint.

He's a good QB, and he has potential to be a great one, but thus far, he's not been consistent enough to win the starting job. The O-line issues also hurt him more than the others, because we need someone who can escape the pocket.

Hooker has looked like the best QB on the roster thus far. I'd rather have Bailey than Milton, though; my view that the Milton experiment is a failed one hasn't changed.
