QB Rozier says he's coming to Tennessee

Another one from Basilio's "X" man. This has to be a joke.

My conspiracy theory on this ex-professional baseball QB prospect (Mike Rozier) is that if we take him OR he elects to come to UT (the Red Sox are paying for his education) I don’t believe we take a QB prospect in this upcoming class.

Reason being that while yes they are recruiting a number of quarterback prospects the pro-style prospects they seem to be fond of right now are in the 2011 class. Plus this Rozier kid has a connection somewhat distant albeit with the #1 Wide Receiver prospect on UT’s Board Markeith Ambles.. We'll see. Like I said you know me I'm a black helicopter guy and I'm piecing things together based upon things I have heard

He got a chance to play pro baseball because he is left handed. It's not really a reflection of his athletic ability. There are lots of pitchers who can bring the cheese, but couldn't run a 6 second 40. If you are a lefty, over 6'3" and can throw in the mid 80s, you are going to play pro baseball if you want to.
Pete Rose said that if you are left handed and had a pulse there would be interest.

O-Tay!!
I guess I missed that line when they offered pro contracts to tall, left handed pitchers throwing in the mid 80's.

A RHP fitting the same description would probably get a partial scholarship to a mid-major unless he had a lot of movement.

Haha. That is a gross exaggeration.

He won a Heisman, just don't know when. As for the resemblence, I can't look at the two easily on my phone, but I know I look very little like my dad, so does anyone have any actual answer? Basing it on ages, it would work for them to be father and son so I asked.

Mike Rozier of Nebraska fame won the Hypesman in 1983. He was injured in the Orange Bowl at the end of the season (the game where Tom Osborne went for two and lost the national championship); had a decent NFL career anyway but was never quite the same.

He's no more related to this Mike Rozier than you or I am.
